Getting married

Those photos are simply beautiful Shawn. You both look so happy and elegant.

I would add some pics, if I could. We didn't have a digital camera at that point nearly 16 years ago, we didn't even get a whole lot of pictures, although, I do have a few in the album, (some with my firstborn from a previous marriage as an angelic flower girl.) But it was a very simple wedding in front of my associate pastor (& also good friend ) & there were only a few friends & family members in attendance, but it was still a very special day.

I wouldn't really have any updated or great ideas for a wedding nowadays, but I'm sure that Krystal will get some great ideas from everybody else, your wedding tips included. And as long as there is love in a wedding, (any wedding) the ultimate ingredient is actually already there. The other stuff is fun though and can add personal touches to what can be one of the more memorable moments ever ...

I just hope that on their wedding they share one of the most special days of their life.

Although a wedding can be fun, and as much as I tried to be frugal in our wedding, It is so expensive and exhausting. I have thought many times after the fact, that we should have just took the money and went on a lengthy awesome vacation.

Ladies, I hope you will add some pictures for Krystal to use for inspiration and dos and don'ts. This is an exciting time for her I am sure!

After checking with a florist and prices were crazy, I was able to get these roses from Publix for only $20. They ordered specifically for me and came in the morning of our day. I just picked them up with the cake. They were a fraction of the cost a florist would have done it.

Our publix cake. We wanted something simple, small and colorful. It was tasty! top layer chocolate, middle white, and bottom chocolate. Makes me hungry!
