Well I was always an Indiana Jones fan so I can't wait to see that one. Big Grin The Narnia movie I'm sure my boys and husband would love to see. I'm not sure about the others. My husband gets to bring home movies free which is pretty cool for us, we enjoy movies. He's a store manager of a video store.

Definitely Indiana Jones...I was telling some of the college students here that I still have the bumper sticker they gave out at the theatre on opening night of the first one.

I had really cool parents and they made sure we got to see that as well as all three original Star Wars movies on opening day.

I also have to admit my guitly pleasure though...I am anticipating the "Sex in the City" movie too.

I can not wait to see Indiana Jones! I am glad to hear of other Indiana Jones fans! Harrison Ford is a hunk! I actually found this link while looking for the release date of Indiana Jones.

I have never watched sex and the city. I wonder if they wrote the movie for people to understand it if they never saw the show?

The movie Wanted has me intrigued and hopeful.

Rachel, how lucky for you to see any movie you want when you want to. Nothing like a hook up Big Grin

Ah, Harrison Ford. When we first saw the trailer for the new Indiana Jones my husband poked my arm and told me "Hey, your man is beginning to look kind of old, isn't he?". The nerve. I told him he better look that good at that age...hehehe. Smiler

Cindy, I'm not in denial, Harrison Ford is getting older and it breaks my heart, but it also breaks my heart that I'm getting older -lol. It happens to us all.

He is still good looking! And I can tell you have impeccable taste Big Grin

There is another movie that just came out I can't wait to see. Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed with Ben Stein.

I've had several people tell me that the new Jackie Chan movie, "The Kingdom" I believe, is actually very good.

I personally can't wait to go see the new Raider's film, or the Narnia one, and I know I'm going to be drug to see Ironman here very shortly, lol.

With the cost of movies now and sometimes not being able to get babysitting, my hubby and I usually just wait for the movies to come out on DVD. Movies are being made into DVDs faster and faster. Plus, you can check movies out for free from your local library (provided that they have what you want in stock when you want it). However, hubby and I both agree that the new Indiana Jones movie must be seen on the big screen! He even wants to go opening night! So, we'll see. That is one thing we agree on! We both like the Indiana Jones movies. Course, I don't think he likes Harrison Ford as much as I do! And yes, Harrison is getting older, but he is still a good actor.

Oh, Sunday the USA network played all three Indy movies. We got to watch most of them, so we are ready for the new one! Big Grin

Tricia, I agree, with lack of a sitter and cost of a movie at the theatre, we rarely go. I guess that is what makes it a treat when we do go. Eddy, me, Austin and Ethan went to see Iron Man on Mothers Day- so just 4 of us, to pay for the movie and for us to get very minimal snacks, Ethan just a slushie, no food, Austin a drink with M&Ms and Eddy and I shared a bottle of water and a funnel cake - it was almost $60. (insert whistle here)

I usually wait for movies to come out on video, and I missed my Miss Pettigrew, so I will have to wait that one out, but Indiana Jones, yeah, we will have to catch that one in the theatre.

I can really relate to what ya'll are saying, in the early years of marriage, when the kids were young, we rarely did anything, we rarely rented movies more than a couple times a year, we barely ever ate out, (special occasions maybe) and I clipped coupons faithfully and always shopped on the cheap cheap. We didn't even get cable until last year, and we've been married 16 years. And those are just a few of the ways off the top of my head in which we conserved money. Now that the kids are getting older, and things are not as tight for us due to our cautionary spending, saving, among other things that have been a boon, like raises, etc., (although, we are still fairly frugal ) we can afford to do a little more.

And as someone who lived through times of severe poverty after my parents divorced, (food and electricity were often a luxury to us, and when we had it we were grateful.) I for one, am so thankful my kids are having more fun than I did growing up. Not that movies or little extras are integral to their having fun, no, because I learned lots of creative ways to do that, but the way I remember it as a kid, being afraid the necessities wouldn't be there, definitely wasn't fun, it was very stressful.. I'm glad my kids haven't seen the same kind of hardship, and I'm thankful I can spoil them some. And although the early years with our kids were more conservative, we were fortunate, we appreciate the things we are able to do now even more.

On Mother's Day, we took both the younger kids to see Iron Man. This was special because lately I have not been able to talk my daughter, (the one with autism) into going out with us to the movies or extras. And I haven't wanted to stress her out by telling her she had to go. (I often end up just taking my youngest due to this very reason.) It's not like the old days where the tantrums made it difficult to do family things, but since puberty, Tabby gets emotional for no reason and will just cry at the drop of a hat. She doesn't make a scene of it, the only giveaway is her tears, but she is embarassed when it happens, even though I've told her not to worry about it or feel bad. Anyway, she's been begging off going out with us 90% of the time for the last few years. Well, I managed to persuade her to go this time and she didn't cry once while out. Smiler And we even ate out afterwards, so, it was a good chunk of time. Anyway, it was a small victory for her, and one I can remind her of the next time, which should be helpful.

BTW ~ Iron Man was a good movie and lots of fun, but the first part of it might not be appropriate for those interested in taking younger kids. But it was right up my son's alley with the computer imaging and advanced weaponry. It reminded me a little bit of Transformers, (but not as kiddish) and he really loved that movie too. Smiler

gutarjee, which theatre did you go to and what time, we may have watched it together on mothers day? My thoughts of the movie I wrote of it in my new blog here

The beginning was a little rough and the reporter at home scene concerned me a little but other than that I was fine with Iron Man with my 12 year olds

Shawn,

We went for the 1:45 showing at the Lakeside Village. My youngest Buddy, will be twelve this August, and I kind of wished the start of Iron Man had been a little less rough too, but all in all, it was a fun movie once it got past that.

Do you know who is actually allowing it to be played? Our church took the teen group the Saturday after it came out and the theater had already shut it down said they were not going to be showing it.
I think it is going to be interesting as a lot of people believe in evolution and our kids are being taught to believe it as well- Maybe someone will see its not as true as they think it is!
