Absolutely, After my second son, I could not bond with him well as I was so tied up on the idea that I had somehow shorted my first son by having his brother so close in age. It took quite a while to realize what was going on. Luckily I was not homicidal or suicidal. I loved my second son but just could not get that bond, it took about a month but thank goodness for family and my husband who kept reminding me that I am a good mother.
