This is something you all need to know. I would hate for some of you to pack up and go for a weekday to realize it would be a no go.

I understand their reasoning, I do. But if I was a pass holder I don’t think I would be happy, or an employee.

I like to go to theme parks on off days. It's so much more laid back and nicer.

Will this affect any of you?

This is why we did not buy the season pass !!!!

We had season passes last time this park ran into problems and lost money on 8 passes so this time around it will not effect us.

But it is a shame that they can not run that park with customers and employees in mind just the bottom line.

That is the nature of the beast and not much John Q Public can do about it.

It is a shame that customers won't have as much access, and I do worry about the employees, but unfortunately to some degree the bottom line has to be at the front of their minds. Without the bottom line being healthy there won't be a park for anyone to enjoy or work at.

I will give them credit for the fact that they're waiting until September when most visitors will be back in school. As the article stated, the weekday traffic will slow down significantly during that period. And I'll also give them credit for trying it out for one month before they make any permanent decisions for cutbacks or closures.

As bad as it stinks for customers/employees it's just the reality of our economy right now that people are having to make changes. And that includes businesses. If you don't have enough customers to cover the bills what else are you supposed to do?

I really think it stinks... I have year passes- we got them for Christmas but because I was on bed rest we didn't get to use them till April- but they still end Dec 31st.
I think they should wait to see what happens with them lowering the day price for Florida Residents. I think they should have done that for the summer I be they would of had a better turn out. The ad on the tv keep showing $29 something for adults and $24 for kids- you'd with that going they would wait to see if that picked up any before decided to shut down for the weekend.
With that being said we are passing on passes next year- think we are going to try the Lowery Park Zoo and Florida Aquarium ones- All 4 of the kids would like to go there- Right now Cypress Gardens only really benefits my two oldest.
