In Central or North Lakeland?

My 3.5 year old is really interested in Ballet or even Tap (not sure she even knows what Tap Dancing is lol!)

I would love to get her into a class of some sort later in the summer/start of new school year but have no idea where to look.

Thanks in advance Smiler

Albee, I am also thinking of signing Vegas up for dance.

One of our former students, now an ESE teacher, is also a dance teacher at Miss Carla's Betsy Kay's School of Dance . They begin at 3 years old. I know nothing of the cost but I do know they have been around for a long time and their teachers are great with the little ones!

Their number is (863) 686-0797

If you live in North Lakeland, Tammy's Dance Studio is really good. If you live in Grove Park Area Pretty in Pink is good. If you live in South Lakeland area Betsy Kay's is good. If you live in Winter Haven, the Ballet Conservatory is good. Hope that helps.

Yes, I agree. In North Lakeland, Tammy's Dance Studio is good. Unfortunately for us, we took my oldest when she was 4 and she only lasted a couple months. Nothing to do with Tammy's, it was just my daughter is kind of shy and didn't want people watching her. She was the one that said she wanted to dance, so I enrolled her. Then, she started changing her mind, so I finally let her back out of it. I didn't want to push, but I was hoping she would love it and it would help her out of her shell.

Country Lane on the northside is also good. I think they have a good variety as well.

I know that Kelly Rec has a little dance class. I don't think it's very in depth, but worth the try. I don't know if they do it during the summer though.

The ballet classes at Kelly Rec are GREAT for 3-5 year olds. The teachers are sweet and they play and teach the basics. If you are looking for in depth teaching this is probably not the class for you. I was looking for some way to introduce Jordyn to dance and she liked watching the girls, but was too shy to join in.
The cost is $20.00 for six weekly lessons and they are starting a new session in June.
Hope this helps.
