Ladies, last year PolkMoms went on a lovely blueberry picking trip. I enjoyed it so much that I booked us a day to go back to that very same spot Smiler

So what do you say, you wanna go?

Next week groups are picking everyday except for Friday- so I snagged it.

PolkMoms is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 15th.

The blueberries are at

Shady Oak Farm
3320 Shady Oak Drive East
Lakeland

863-512-1547

There's a cute pond there and tree covered picnic tables we could eat lunch and chat at after we pick.

I was told they built a fence around the pond- I think they remember us from last year Wink

Bring a bag lunch with you.

The berries tasted incredible and are chemical free. The owner encourages you to eat right off the bush as many as you can -now that's cool Cool

If we get 10 or more berry buyers we get a group discount of $4.50 per pound

Who's in?

I'd ♥ to go. Do you think a 1 and 2 year old would be ok/like it?
Momof5- how old is Sophie?

Mary Lee, Lillie was two when we went last year. She didn't have much interest in the berries but she loved walking around the pond and seeing the other kids. It really depends on how outdoorsy they are. Mine doesn't like to get dirty so she was an observer.
If anything come and socialize. We will try to be there, I will see what Ken is scheduled that day.

My boys are DEFINITELY outdoorsy. Aidan, literally, cries (hard) when he can't go outside or if we put the garage door down and he knows its time to go in. I'm guessing he'll probably like it. Not sure about my 1 year old, thinking I might bring the stroller for him? Wondering if the umbrella stroller will work in dirt...hmm. Smiler
Oh the planning it takes to do one simple thing with two little ones....and men think we do all this so simply! HA!
