We met my parents in law up at Lakeside Villages in Lakeland tonight for dinner. After we were in BAM and I saw a note at the register for a Craft Festival this weekend. This looked like a good place to post it. May 3-4th both days 10a-5p.

Forgot to mention the festival is there at the Lakeside Villages. Smiler

Yes. That is Cobb Theatre at Lakeside Village in Lakeland. I took my kids to a couple of the movies last year, and it was great. I definitely recommend getting there early though. It is very busy on those days.

Exploration V by Munn Park in downtown Lakeland is a cute place for kids. Its $5.00 a person or $50 for a family year membership. We got a membership last year and the girls love going there. Felicity had a field trip with all the kindergarten this week... lots of kids... they all enjoyed it as well.

Oh and Silvermoon Drive in. Its $4.00 or $4.50 for anyone over 9 and you can see two movies. Its fairly cheap being you get to see two movies and you can take your own popcorn and candies.

www.silvermoondrivein.com tells the listings of what is playing and the times.

Hi, we may have crossed paths there! We've gone the past two years, I think. Shawn, american posted about the free movies and times on the first page here, too and thought maybe we'd like to go to one sometime - they begin at 10am - like american and boysmommy, I recommend getting there about 9-9:15am (they won't sell tickets until 9:30 though) because of the bus loads of daycares and preschools. We've gone all 3 days they offer the movies - Tues/Wed/Thur, but can't say which day is best. The adults get in free too. I'd say "how nice" but then the prices of the drinks and food getcha! We just bring some of our own stuff or get lunch after.

Shawn, we'd be up for doing a Polkmoms Movie Meetup!

Oh, and I saw your reply about going Blueberry Picking again. We were thinking we'd go next Sat. May 10th to pick, have lunch and then go to the May Faire. So, we'll get it all in! AND we WILL stop in and say "Hello!" Smiler

Tripsi, I've only been to the Silvermoon once yeeeeeeaaaars ago. How clean is it, like for using the restrooms? I may have boys who can stand or not touch a thing to go, but I'm not one! Wink lol

PS-- Shawn, I think most movie theatres do it, but we personally go to the Cobb in Lakeside Villages, the seats are big and comfy and the armrests can move up so children can lie on your lap if you want and the room between you and the seat in front of you is much more than usual so when the boys want to stand, they can and not be distracting.

Shawn, I don't know if you have this on your calendar, but thought I'd post it for everyone since we're discussing free and movies.

"Saturday Afternoon Movies. Enjoy free movies every second and fourth Saturday of the month, in the Library’s movie theater. Movie titles vary each Saturday, ranging from documentaries to popular films and even local, independent films. Refreshments are available for a small fee. All movies begin at 2 p.m. and are held in the Multi-Purpose Meeting Room."

oooopppps, you need to know where--

To be honest I do not know how clean they are. I'm not one to go to the bathroom in public places at all. I would think they couldn't be any worse then going at walmart-

Yesterday Anthony and I took our girls to Cypress Gardens. We were given year passes and finally used them yesterday. The girls enjoyed the rides. There are several that the kids above 36 inches can ride alone- and there are some that the parents have to ride if the child is under 42 inches. The girls had a blast just doing the rides! We didn't go to the water park, but a lot of people were there for that.
I believe with the tickets you buy one day and get the next free. Or they have the year passes.

The movie theatre by the Lakeland mall (north Lakeland) used to do free movies in the summer, too. I don't know if they still do that, but I took my daughters before.

I definitely want to take my girls to some movies this summer, too. I'd like to try the theatre at Lakeside. I think it would be a great Polk Moms outing!

Other outings we like are bowling and pottery painting. Though, we've only done pottery painting with my oldest! We also like Explorations V and just going to parks. I'd like to take the girls putt-putt golfing sometime, too!
