Has anyone gone on an airboat ride?

We are looking into Boggy Creek Airboat Rides Does anyone have anything to say about the company? They seem safe from the website, but having others' opinions is a good thing, too. All the boaters are given life vests and hearing protection. This is one of the places mentioned in the KIDS LOVE FLORIDA book that I mention in the above post.

During May Faire, we picked up a couple of copies of the Polk Guides and I have to say, GET ONE if you can. It details SOOO much, including all the parks and recreational facilities, schools (even homeschool organizations!), and much, much more. I never realized there was a one stop shop at our finger tips with that guide.

These are terrific opportunities for a celebration of Father's Day! Remember little girls & boys make great fishing partners when they get older if raised in the sport! Our, now 23 yr old, has been Dad's best fishing buddy since he was three. He could cast like a man by 5. I'm programming Poppi & Hayden now---I look forward to Nanny time off, just as I did the Mommy time off!! Also, earliest gets the worm! There are freebies---tackle, gift certifs etc. Also, much cooler early in the day!!

We're about set for our summer vacation! Had hoped to visit friends & family in NY & VT, but gas prices being so high, are returning once again to Murphy, NC. We've rented a cabin again for a week. Got a two bedroom this year as our grandson's siblings & maternal grands are joining us for a couple days. This is an opportunity for the children:2, 7, & 10, to spend real time together. Also, it's a chance for we adults to truly get to know one another, as we're all in this for the long haul. We love these kids & are determined that they always have opportunities to be together.
Anyway, I'm packing Hayden's travel back pack, things to entertain him for the long ride between pitstops! We are so looking forward to getting up on a mountain top & chillin'! Vacation starts June 30 thru probably July 10th. Can't wait!
Anyone who loves the mountains should check out the various websites for vacation cabins. We've been doing this for about 7 years now, really love Murphy area, and it's affordable. You don't have to spend a fortune to have a great vacation. However, gas prices make this year one where we'll do less running around. So, we got a place on a river complete with paddle boat, fishing, wading, and lots of berry picking! It's also a working farm which should be great for Hayden & his big brother & sister!

We've done this trip with Hayden twice now. It's always great. Am especially looking forward to this time as we get to spend real time with his brother & sister. I mentioned in another forum that we had Davvin for about a year. I miss him so much, but have worked to develop a good relationship with the "grands" in SC.
This area of SC is right on the GA & TN border. It's really wonderful & affordable. We love renting a cabin for a week as it's relaxing to have a home away.

I called Backyard Adventures the other day. It is $7.50 per child adults are free. Children ages 1-12 are allowed to play on all those outdoor inflatables. They said they have an area for children from 1-5. Parents are encouraged to play on the things with them. Sounds like it would be really good for those children who cannot play outside due to severe asthma like my granddaughter. I think my hubby is going to try it out next Sat. If he does I will let you guys know!

MEDIEVAL TIMES is a super experience for the entire family, from the youngest to even grandparents! We recommend bringing wipes and silverware of your own if you think you'll need them - it was good having a knife to cut the chicken for children. The meal was amazing and very filling. They offer a group discount.

We've never been to Arabian Knights, but here is their information, too.

i took my 2 1/2 yr old to medieval times 2 weeks ago. she was sooo good, she really loved the show. i think july they ran a special kids eat free with paying adult. she recieved a meal. also the servant we had was really fun. and anything you wanted extra of he tryed to get for you. my daughter was so caught up in the events she didn't even touch her dinner we ended up bring it home. the servant did bring a spoon for my daughter so she could eat her soup, but when she seen everyone else drinking theres the spoon was gone.

if your looking for a fun dinner theater i recommend this. even for children.

Courtney,
mom to Brooke and Peyton.
