I think just doing a meet/play date is good but as I posted earlier and sounds like Shawn is on the same page, a back to school event would be fun! Shawn, I mentioned things our homeschool group has done, so take a look and if you want help with it, don't hesitate!

I have to also add since someone mentioned bringing husbands or not, with our family's schedule whatever is planned and we attend, my husband will more likely come too. That is just how we live life and do things, as a family. It also allows me to visit a bit more while he watches our very active boys! It may also be the only time he gets with them.

Shawn, let me know as time moves forward about the "Back to School Bash" and how I can help.

I am going to the Free Movie tomorrow. I am babysitting a little deaf boy and my 2 nieces along with my son. I am not sure which movie we are going to see yet. I was thinking you could watch both and not have to choose, but my friend said that was not the case you can only go to one. Let me know if you want to meet up somewhere.

My future step daughter's birthday is July 28. We want to have a party at a park somewhere, but we don't really know anyone in the playgroup yet. She is turning 3. If anyone is interested in helping this day be really special let me know. email me at lilhottiesinger@aol.com. She doesn't have any friends around here, but I am determined to get her some playmates. Her only playmate is my 4 year old son. But I think she should also play with some girls. Anyway get back to me so me and my fiance can plan something fun at one of the parks!! :-D thanks a bunch!!

You just decide on the date, as July 28th is a Monday, I think. If you'll do it the weekend before or after. There is a thread on area Parks:

I HAVE to add we have family/friend birthdays on:

July 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15, 20, 22, 28! and I know I may be leaving someone out....

The most birthdays our family has are in Feb/April/July/August/Nov/Dec

My granddaughter turned 3 in Jan. I would be happy to take her to the park for a new friend let me know when you are doing the party.

michelle your july is like my may. for some reason all of a sudden we had a ton of b days and our anniversary in may. but other than that we have 2 in sep/oct/and dec. my husband feels left out he's the only nov b day. july 28th must be very popular my husbands dad and my grandpa's b days are on that day.

Okay Ladies, It looks like Mary Holland Park in Bartow won. We will meet at the park at 3 p.m. in and around the playground area this Saturday the 14th of June. If any of you have any questions about directions please let me know.

I will be bringing some cupcakes to celebrate all the June birthdays we are having. Please bring drinks for your family while there so no one gets dehydrated. This is a family day so bring the dads too if you can. My husband will be with us. You may also want to bring folding chairs or a blanket to sit on so we can chat.

Saturday will be here before you know it, I am so excited!

You ladies that mentioned scrapbooking, bring what you have done to peek our interest. I would love to see some of your work.

Oh... and speaking of scrapbooking, I am trying to make my Save the Date cards for my wedding, does anyone know how to make something really cute. I am not the creative type. We have been playing with photoshop, but where could we find paper/paper decorations and such??? I might make my invites as well if I can get some help on them!!! :-)

Whew! Hi all. Hubby and I just got back from a weekend with some of my cousins in Myrtle Beach. It was a blast. We have also decided to take Hayley and head to KC for the BIG family 4th of July reunion. It will be her first time on a plane. Yikes. I'm glad to see the info on the get-together Saturday. We'll be there, Hayley and I anyway. John may have to go rescue the rest of our stuff from the Tallahassee area (LONG story...I'll share it Saturday if anyone is interested).

I, for sure, will bring some scrapbooks to share. Be advised that I am well behind on them. I'm working on it, though. Baby, school and move have not been adventageous for my scrapping time! Emily, I'd be happy to talk with you about Save the Date cards and invites. If you won't make Saturday, contact me and we'll get together another time.

Save the dates are really cute with a picture of you two on a magnet. Then people will see it all the time. A piece of paper may get tucked into a drawer.
