Okay ladies, I loved the blueberry trip and I am more than willing to do that again. The fields will close at the end of this month to first week of June, so time is of the essence!
If not that, I was thinking of a park play date. I also want to include working moms this time, so a weekend/ Saturday get together. I want moms with big kids to babies to join in. What I want from you ladies is a where? Give me feedback on where you want to go. Which park you like best, or the blueberry trip? I know I talked about meeting in Winter Haven, but I don't know parks in that area well, so I will need feedback from you all on what park is best in that area. It is time, we need to do this! Please post back! ~Mother to Brandon, Austin, Ethan, Ryan and Lillian~ |

I'd love to meet you guys - but we are heading to Ireland soon for 5 weeks. My Aunt arrives this weekend - she's coming to help my fly home with the kids - then my husband will join us for our last two weeks.
Have fun wherever you meet |

I love the idea of a Saturday get-together. Parks are a wonderful idea too!
There are tons of nice ones in the areas too. I'm in Lakeland, so that is where we usually go. There is a park "behind" the Lakeland YMCA, I think it's Peterson Park (I'll double check) that has a nice playground, picnic tables, fishing, boat ramp....that's where we started going on the weekends because the Dads can fish together while we play. I'm open for anywhere. |

A blueberry trip or a park trip is fine with me. I've heard Peterson Park is nice, as well as Christina Park, Bonny Park, and even Lake Parker Park in Lakeland. I know the Auburndale Park just got remodeled, but I don't know how big of an area we need. I'll go with whatever everyone else wants to do. Sounds great!

Shawn, I did not go blueberry picking, but I think it would be really hard for someone like me with a one year old to the blueberry trip. A park day would be best for me, I believe.

In Winter Haven, there is Rotary Park and Kiwanis Park. They are both about 1 minute from each other. The new Auburndale Park is REALLY nice too.

I LOVE THE SATURDAY PARK IDEA, NEAT IDEA TOO FOR THE DADS TO FISH, MY HUSBAND WOULD DEFINATELY JUMP ON THAT IDEA. IF WE DO THE PARK THING, WE COULD "COOK OUT", BRING A DISH, ETC. MAKE A DAY OF IT. I WOULD LOVE TO MEET ALL OF YOU.

Sadly I have not found many places in Winter Haven that are great parks for my LO( she is 8 months). I take her to Auburndale Park and it is very nice. They really don't have any facilities as it is a small city park.
I did not make it to the blueberry picking event and I probably wouldn't until LO is a little older. Otherwise, I would be up for anything else. |

Hi Ladies!
Rotary Park in Winter Haven is a great facility. The outdoor area is fenced in and includes fairly new playground equipment and a baseball feild for the bigger kids if they wanted to bring a ball and a glove. It has a covered/shaded picnic area and a a/c facility with restrooms and carpeted play room where my oldest son used to participate in kindermusik. My 17 month old does enjoy the swings for a while anyway, but will most likely munch on cheerios, watch the big kids, be with mommy, and enjoy the outdoor sounds. It is certainly worth looking into, but i am happy to meet anywhere, and thanks for including the working moms - i am excited to have a playdate! |

Is Bonny Park the one across from Lakeland High School ?
That one is nice. Haven't been to in a while, but Mary Holland Park used to be nice. |

Peterson Park by the YMCA on Cleveland Heights is nice, Bonny Park and there is a nice Park on Ariana in the Dixieland Area...but any park is great!

I vote for Bonny or Peterson Park in Lakeland.
Or, Lake Parker Park |

I like either Bonny or Peterson as they are both shady. Are we doing a Saturday function? If so, we should try and plan it for the 3rd Sat. of June. I am excited, Shawn if you want me to I will get things organized as far as doing a poll for the park and finding what day is best and the activities available at each park. Just let me know.
