I posted the following in your Blue Berry Recipe Thread, Shawn, but in case that is missed:
If any moms want to set up their BlueBerry Picking Experience with their little ones, a great book to do that with is titled: Blue Berries for Sal which is the story we read and then followed up with the Blue Berry Muffins with recipe I posted on Shawn's Blue Berry Recipe thread. http://talk.polkmoms.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/9501078796/...181031517#3181031517 The story is a fun story about a mom and child who go Blue Berry Picking only to have a little mix up with a mama bear and her bear cub. Great news, The Ledger has offered to supply our trip with a few refreshments. I am not sure what or how much, so I would still bring a lunch if you plan on staying that long. Just wanted to tell The Ledger, Thank you!

I am new and want to come but have worked hard to build a new life from my ex and his family. What can I do about any pictures that may be taken? I really don't want any on here for our safety. I am new to the area too.

hi, applesandbananas,
I will be taking pictures at our event. I was planning on announcing this while there so moms could make the decision whether or not they would like their and their children's pictures to be taken. If someone does not want their picture taken, please tell me in the morning and I will not take it or they will be cropped out. I do want and hope for some great pictures to post on our site, but I will not mention any names unless parents request it. I hope to see many of you there ~Mother to Brandon, Austin, Ethan, Ryan and Lillian~ |

************************************************ applesandbananas, Very good question/concern. I understand your hesitancy and while we don't have the same reason, the underlying protection of our children is the same. The homeschool, church, PE, and many other groups or activities we've participated in/with over the years have always had members or participants sign a waiver, or not, regarding photographs of children and their use and have respected any parent's wishes either way. I am glad to read what Shawn will be doing. We have learned creative ways to adjust to situations where others are taking photos. ************************************************ That said, SHAWN, THANK YOU to the Ledger for their generosity! And, Shawn, maybe over time we can choose a certain color shirt to distinguish ourselves in large groups. That would be fun - to see a sea of (insert your favorite color here) in a crowd! And I was wondering if the Ledger had an idea of pin on buttons that moms could wear as advertisement for Polk Moms. I know I'd be willing to share Polk Moms to other moms who may approach me wearing a button. I am hurrying to edit in: Applesandbananas, WELCOME TO THE AREA! Shawn, Hey are we going to have a check-in table or anything? What about blank name tags so we can write or user names on it? Just wondering. See you all tomorrow!
