Am I the only one that craziness happens to or is that normal for moms? Big Grin

I just need to vent a little, I guess. I'm sure everyone has crazy stories, at least I sure hope so! It's been a crazy morning around here, and I really think we need to go back to bed and start all over!

It started out normal; I got up, got dressed, and got my oldest daughter up for school. Last night she was complaining some about her tummy. After breakfast, she made a mad dash for the bathroom. She didn't quite make it, and let's just say she wasn't throwing up. So, I helped her clean up and took her clothes to the laundry room. I decided she probably needed to stay home from school, just in case.

While I was helping her clean herself, she notices a little lizard in the bathroom. Okay, I don't do lizards. Bugs don't bother me because I can usually dispose of them. Lizards remind me of snakes, and I don't like those either! I know some people like lizards (and snakes) and say they're harmless; that's great for them, but I don't like them. Neither one of my girls wanted to catch the lizard either. Our dog that usually chases all things movable, didn't see the lizard. I'm the type of person that I can't just ignore it. The only way to do that would have been to seal up the bathroom until hubby got home from work. We had a lizard in the kitchen once, and I would not set foot in there until my assured me that he caught it. So, no lizard catchers are available at my house, therefore I did the most reasonable thing I could think of. I called my dad (my parents live very close) to come catch the lizard! He came and was successful in catching the lizard and relocating it to the backyard, no harm done.

So, another "crisis" handled. Everything calms down, morning stuff continues. Then I catch my youngest daughter feeding the dog some of her cereal. Not long later the dog throws up twice in the house. Not sure if it had anything to do with the couple bites of cereal because it seemed to be mostly last night's dog food.

We finally got the dog outside, and I sent the older daughter out to watch her while I cleaned up the mess. I told the younger daughter to go sit in the other room so she get in the mess. She went and sat alright. She sat on the top of the rocker/recliner. You know what happened next. I heard a loud thud and crying. My almost-3-year-old fell backward off the top of the chair onto the floor. I finally got her calm so that she could tell me what had happened, then I immediately started checking her over. She could have been seriously injured, but thankfully she was fine. I was worried about broken bones, hurt neck, hurt head, etc. She said that she had hit her head, but I rubbed and felt around, everything seems to be normal. The other day I had watched her to the same thing to another piece of furniture. So, afterward, I explained that is I had told her not to that the other day, because she could get hurt.

So, she's finally calm, and I'm pretty sure unharmed. I remembered that I still needed to clean up the dog's mess. I finally got it cleaned and the dog came back in acting fine. So far, everyone is back to normal, but I really think I need to go back to bed!! Smiler That was too much going on before 10 this morning!

Not sure what this says about my mother's day if this is how the weekend gets started! I just needed to vent, hubby made the mistake of calling at the wrong time. When he asked how the day was going, I don't think he was prepared for how crazy our day had already been! I hope I am not the only with the craziness! Thanks for letting me ramble!

Hope everyone has a Happy Mother's Day! Smiler

No you are not ALONE .
I am lucky enough if my day starts crazy my son takes a nap in the morning so I do to. to start over sort of.
But there are times when things keep getting worse. I usually call the BF and vent she makes me laugh I feel better and ready to tackle the rest of the day.
Yesterday was let's get nothing done day. By diner time I was exhausted no idea why? While making diner I proceeded to cut my pointer finger Nail half off while chopping parsley let's just say OUCH!!! How long does it take for a nail to grow back? I went to bed right after the baby did 8pm today is slightly better but just feeling Blahahahah .

I hope your day gets better for you Pennington7777. hopefully it was just a morning blitz.

No, you are not the only one. But you sure had a day. I do not like snakes my husband caught one yesterday and brought it in and put it right next to me and I freaked so bad that I started crying. He knew my fear but didn't realize the extent until he did that. gh I can't even look at them on TV. Lizards I don't mind looking at but to touch one absolutely NOT!
My days have not been that bad lately but I expect when summer comes around I will be sending venting posts Razzer

Sounds like my day Sunday. We were already for church-getting ready to walk out the door when my one year old falls and hits his mouth. I checked did not see blood at first, but as he buried his head in my shoulder and came up to peek around, my shoulder was covered with blood! Now, not only do I need to see if he broke a tooth, but I have to change all my clothes before church and I hate to iron so I was just hoping something was wrinkle free! Then after church I decided I would go to Golden Corral (P.S. my husband did not go to church as he was doing homework) since Jaden can eat for free and my niece can eat for cheap. Well let me just tell you I am stickler for rules and a sign says "No one under 10 allowed at the buffet without parental approval." So since Bre is only 9, I pulled the highchair along with a plate for Jaden and myself and helping Breanna Whoa you can only imagine how stressful lunch was. So then after lunch I go to my dad's and he has a visiting nun who obvisiouly has not been around children alot because as I look out of the corner of my eye Jaden is falling to the ground and his clothes are coming off and she is screaming and poop is flying everywhere. So I am take him to the bathroom and bathe him, I hear yelling from the kitchen OMGosh there is poop on the walls, table, floor and chairs. My dad's wife was not in there when everything happened. So then I get him all cleaned up and I asked Bre to hold him sitting on the piano bench (Big Mistake on my part) Everybody was cooking I walked away for 2 seconds when I hear this horrible blood curdling scream I drop everything and run back in there. Jaden is lying on the floor screaming and grasping for breath-I ask Bre what happened she says nothing, I tell her he does not scream like that for nothing happening-what happened she still said nothing I then I screamed at her tell me now what happened she then tells me he stood up on the bench and flipped backwards off the bench.

I am so glad that day is over.

It's just one of the "perks" of being a mother...just this morning, I was actually ready to walk out the door on time for work when my almost 3 year old (she'll be three next month) told me she was wet. Sure enough, she was. Then, she didn't want me change her pants and could not understand why she could't wear her wet ones to school. Smiler After another 20 minutes we finally had on new pants, but she insisted on wearing her "Princess Shoes" to school...Calgon Take Me Away! I finally walked in the door at work at 9 (I've been up since 5:30) and by the look on my face they just said..."one of those morning, huh?"

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all hardworking (at home or work) MOMS!!!!!!

Oh, thank you all for your posts! I'm glad that I'm not the only one; it is normal for some craziness in a mom's life! Oh, VegasMom, I agree "Calgon take me away!" I actually thought that same thing early today! Big Grin

Things calmed down here for a bit. However, when my youngest woke from her nap, she found that she had pooped and it leaked. We are working on potty training, but she wears a pull up in bed. Apparently, it was too much for the pull up. So, now I am doing laundry again!

Thanks for letting me vent, that way hubby doesn't have to get too much! Although it seems to be the norm, I'm so sorry you all have to have crazy, bad days, too! It's just part of being a mom, so I'll just put on my "supermom cape" (lol-Shawn) and deal with it! Big Grin

You ladies deserve that superwoman cape! Big Grin

Days like the ones you ladies described above, you just dont wish it on anyone but it is almost comforting to know we all go through it.

We could all get together and make a pretty funny book of mommy episodes.

I hope you ladies will have an uneventful or should I say accident free weekend. Smiler

So funny! And I'd imagined I was the only mom that this stuff happens to now! Seldom does a bathtime go by without brown floaters! As for "accidents" Hayden never cries, which scares me more than a scream might! He has been a climber since forever which has led to many falls. Now, I just try not to watch him too close! At my age, I'd have a heart attack!!
