Do any of you moms know of any good children's secondhand stores in Lakeland..... or anywhere in Polk Co for that matter?

I am looking to find a big outdoor play house for my little one, and since they cost upwards of $300+ new....... I am desperately hoping to find one used!!

When my older daughters were little, we lived in Pinellas County, and they had TONS of little shops that sold used kids stuff (toys, clothes, etc)..... I don't know if Polk County doesn't have many stores like that, or if I'm just missing them!!

Thanks in advance for any pointers! Smiler

I'm not sure but have you checked the classified section in the paper? There are online freecycle sites that people pass things on and all too.

Try Kid Crazy. It is located on South Florida Avenue. It has lots of new & used items for kids. If they don't have any in now - they will put your name on a list, and as soon as one comes in, they will call you.

Also, do check the newspaper. I bought a Little Tykes Playhouse for my kids for $75 out of a classified ad in the paper. There is a section for items under $250. That would be a good place to look.

Try: Freecycle-Lakeland at Yahoo. I've found items there. It's a way to give to others as well as locate items you need.

Try this link http://lakeland.craigslist.org/bab/720484077.html it's to a craigslist add I found and remembered you. Also, Bullfrogs & Butterflies will be open this weekend you should stop in and see if they have anything like that yet. If they don't they will take your info and call you when they get something like that in. ~Stacy
