This information was sent to me by a fellow parent; a Dad. I thought it great and wanted to share with you. Worth the read on which companies are concerned about our environment and earth

It’s not easy being green…but more companies are recognizing
that it makes good business sense!

Working Mother Magazine Honors the
Best Green Companies for America’s Children

New York, NY (April 17, 2008) – Businesses today face a compelling
environmental imperative: develop innovations for sustainability or risk
losing attractive opportunities for profit -- and your competitive edge.
That's why Working Mother Media is recognizing 40 progressive companies
making eco-friendly strides that will benefit America’s children today, and
tomorrow. Winning companies will participate in a sustainability forum on
May 7, 2008 to share their best green practices. After the online forum,
participants can log onto the Working Mother Media GreenCast microsite to
hear the winning companies accept their awards and discuss the steps
they've taken to reduce waste, conserve energy, limit emissions, and more.

"Our winning companies are devoting innovative thinking as well as
financial resources to preserving the earth," says Suzanne Riss, Editor in
Chief, Working Mother magazine. "They know that consumers want to buy from
businesses that strive to minimize their environmental impact, and
employees want to work for companies with good environmental records."
Our Winning Companies' Best Green Practices include:

Solar-power promoter -- Kohl’s is the second-largest retail purchaser of green power in the country.

Recycling colossus -- Subaru of America sends nothing to the landfill at its Indiana plant.

Organic dairy brand -- Stonyfield Farm is leading the charge against artificial bovine growth hormone, making yogurt and milk safer.

"Working Mother Media is proud to acknowledge the 2007 and 2008 Best Green
Companies for America’s Children. We are following their lead by holding
our awards ceremonies online to reduce carbon footprints," says Carol
Evans, CEO of WMM. "These amazing companies are taking on the tough
eco-challenges of business – and in the process building a greener world
for our children."
