What do you think of celebrity baby names? Are the over the top or cute as can be?

While I will admit that some of the names celebrities are choosing are quite unusual, I have a hard time with anyone judging the name that someone else has chosen for their child.

I have what many consider an "unusual" name. It is constantly misspelled, mispronounced and made in to jokes. By today's standards it's not that over the top, but when I was born in a small southern town it was practically unheard of. However, I have never once been embarassed by or ashamed of my name. I never wanted to change my name (when a lot of my friends with "normal" names wanted to). My parents always stressed that my name was part of what made me "special" not "weird" so I was proud of it.

We haven't chosen anything quite as unique as Apple or some of the other celebrity names, but my husband and I have chosen 'non-traditional' names for our two (one here and one on the way) children.
