I don't know if anyone wants to go for this one or not, but in countries where they have a diet that's heavy on sweet potatoes, they have a higher incidence of twins.
And lettuce, believe it or not, is reputed to be an aphrodisiac. Which should not be a real surprise given the rabbit stories. For my husband and I, twice in a row was the ticket each time. And I've also heard that douching with baking soda before hand, will make the climate more tolerable for one gender, and douching with vinegar will make the climate better for the other gender ~ if, that is, one is trying to induce odds of one gender over another. Supposedly, this makes the conditions for the odds of famle or male sperm optimal. It's been a few years though, need to look up which was which. lol Just call moi Rachel or Gjee. Oh, please, please, please don't douche.
That is an unnatural, unhealthly thing to do. Our female bodies are greatly designed to regulate itself and adding ANything to our vaginas in this manner can damage tissue and complicate the inner balances. ************************************************ WOMEN'S HEALTH.GOV: DOUCHING: http://www.4woman.gov/faq/douching.htm Taken from elsewhere: Douche: "Product mistakenly used under the unfortunate impression that it will improve the environmental condition of the female nether-regions. In fact, the vagina is a self-cleaning organ and use of this product may hinder the "good bacteria" naturally present whose job it is to maintain a state of cleanliness. Should the vagina show signs of infection which would potentially lead to the mistaken impression that douching would be a good idea (unpleasant smell, etc.), one should seek professional medical treatment because they probably have some sort of an infection which can be cleared up properly with medication." ************************************************ Which would not be a recommended or desirable environment in which to begin the life of your baby. |

Agreed, I've never been a fan of regular douching, lol; however, I hardly believe that once in a blue moon is gonna damage anything. And if it works, who's to argue?
