Hi, I have had PCOS for 10 years, I wanted children so badly I would have done anything. I have it so bad in the past 4 years I have had 2 periods, and both times been on fertility treatments and I have 2 baby girls. I have had PCOS for 7 years! I was on Clomid for my first child and It took us 3 months to get pregers. They told me I would never have a child with out meds. My second we got pregers with while I was nursing my first. I have had no problem conceiving after taking the Clomid the first time! I think with anything there are varying stages and it all just depends on you and where you are. I have been regular since having my children and Nursing them has helped regulate my hormones but I will always battle with the weight! Leave me a message if you want to chat more!!

I was diagnosed with PCOS (insulin resistant) last month. I am currently taking 1000mg metformin daily and my dr. wants to see me back in December to see how things are going. If nothing is happening she will put me on clomid. I was shocked to hear I had PCOS because I just recently was researching it to see if it was a possible reason why my cycle was so wacky. After reading some of the most common symptoms I wasn't convinced I had it, but an ultrasound and blood work confirmed my suspicion. I think knowing that's what I have helps me make more sense of what my body is going through. And hopefully this doesn't interfere with my plans of having a family.
