I thought this had some good information in it and worth a look. I know when I was trying to get pregnant with Ryan, it took almost a year. I was worried. I talked to my OB and he asked about my diet. I was always living on a diet and was probably a little to thin, is there such a thing as to thin? I guess my body thought so. My OB suggested that my body probably thought I was living in famine and to start eating more, can you believe it, more? It worked. I started eating more, but making healthy choices. I put on 10 pounds and I got pregnant. I know the opposite can be true as well. I had a friend that was overweight and it would throw her monthly "off" when she lost weight and became a healthy size, she became pregnant. I think your body knows if it is healthy enough to hold yourself up and whether it should add a baby to the mix. Check out this article about eating healthy to conceive.

I could believe the famine scenerio for me. For someone designed to be small and your body is expecting and accepting that it is small may not throw it off. I have to work at being skinny, sigh... it's a lifestyle, I need to be working at it now, lol, I gained to much weight during the holidays.
