Straight up article about women finding themselves financially strapped and donating eggs to increase their financial income.

With the economy on a downturn, do you think you would face a decision like these ladies did?

What do you think? Interesting read, check it out.

I think it's great. Many guys have donated sperm for years to put themselves through school or whatever their personal reasons. Why waste a good egg when fortunate enough to have them? Donate or feed your family? What's the difference. The recipient is fulfilling a dream of raising and nurturing child(ren) that I have been blessed to have. Who cares how she gets her eggs?? Who cares how the donor gives them??

I personally could not do it, under any circumstances.

I think I would be able to donate eggs- but not be a surrogate. I had an aunt who tried for years to get pregnant and nothing worked. They ended up adopting a brother and sister.
I look at my 4 and I love them so much- if giving up some eggs would give someone the chance to feel the way I do then I would love to pass the along- the money.. well I'm sure I got a LOT of student loans that could help pay off.

I don't think I could do it either, don't get me wrong I think its great for some. But I am the kind of person that would be looking at childrens faces and wondering if they could be mine.

Ditto on the surrogate. I would have bonded too much by then. I congratulate the women who are able to provide another couple with a family they otherwise would not have been able to have raised.
