Makes losing your rights fun!, February 22, 2008
By J. Chilton (United States) - See all my reviews

If you're a parent, then you've probably been struggling with how to teach your kids about how much fun it is to have your rights systematically stripped from you. Kids today always seem to be whining about freedom and their "Constitutional Right" to be free of warrantless search and seizure and their "right to privacy" (whatever that is). Teaching them to be afraid of "the terrists" and explaining that Islamofascists are a monolithic, unified entity with the sole goal of destroying America because they hate us for our freedoms, so we owe to it eliminate as many freedoms as possible, is really hard. And don't get me started on the times they say, "Daddy, you mean six ounces of liquid in one bottle can blow up a plane, but two three ounce bottles can't??"

Well, now there's a toy to help change all that. Kids can become familiar with the process of search and arbitrary seizure of dangerous items like toothpaste, soda, and aftershave (or TSA). The attention to detail on this toy is great. Notice the Homeland Security Threat Level Advisory glued to the side. See how tiny green and blue are? You'll never need them, because we live in an orange world. That's right, the terrists are right around the corner, maybe under your bed! This will keep a constant, low-level feeling of fear instilled in your kids, just like DHS wants!

For added fun, buy this toy with the TSA Officer Gloves McJellyfinger action figure.

Indoctrinate your kids early!, February 24, 2008
By luv2bparanoid - See all my reviews

I am so excited about this toy! It is VERY VERY important to keep our kids in the 'security mode' as much as possible. Even during their innocent play, let's be sure and remind them what a DANGEROUS world we live in. They'll soon get the hang of it. After playing with this fun screening toy, they'll soon welcome being treated as potential terrorists at the airport, and hey, everywhere else too! It's the patriotic thing to do!

A Necessary Tool, May 15, 2008
By GarytheMessage - See all my reviews

I bought this for my children. Everything changed on 9/11/01. America is going through a change - for the better. People really just had too many rights. That has been remedied. This year will bring a lot more changes, too. I was raised to believe in the "Bill of Rights" but those are archaic and part of a bygone era. My children will never be taught the Bill of Rights, nor the Constitution. They will be taught to stand in line and submit to the proper authority. This must be done. Americans all around the nation have already chosen to submit. My children will not be left behind.

It's bad enough we are awash in a sea of Communist Chinese plastic made with slave labor - but then to have this slave-training toy being shoved in our kids' faces is the ultimate slap-in-the-face.

Yeah, I guess she'll think nothing of it when she gets stationed at the end of each residential street, asking for peoples' papers and where they are headed.

She'll just be doing her patriotic duty because of 'terra'.

HOW SICK IS THIS !?!?!?!

Someone just brought to my attention an article of how this toy originated.

GREATER SECURITY DOESN'T NEED TO MEAN GREATER FEAR

"'Scan-It Toy Security X-Ray Machine' Teaches Children Not To be Afraid”

Excerpt from this sickness:

Glendale, California - Wizard Industries, Inc. has announced a new educational aid to make children more comfortable in dealing with our country's need for heighten security. The new "Scan-It Toy X-Ray Machine" is now available through educational resource centers and toy stores nationwide through Wizard's unique - patented - SampleRewards.com.Com system.

Supported by an educational website - www.OperationCheckpoint.com - the "Scan-It Toy X-Ray Machine" was developed by a mother of three to help children understand and be comfortable when dealing with the often daunting and sometimes even frightening security protocols demanded of us all since 9-11... and sure to be increased since Virginia Tech.

During her divorce proceedings in early 2000 Kathy Arena was confronted daily with having her and children's possessions searched by the courthouse security scanner. Kathy and her young children were understandably intimidated. At first Kathy was angry. But she took the negative - but unavoidable - reality of our need for greater security in public places and turned it into a genuine positive.

Fear is usually based on ignorance. Ignorance is dispelled by knowledge. And the best way to bring knowledge to young children is through play (GAG !!!!) . This simple and honest formula lead Kathy Arena to create the "Scan-It Toy X-Ray Machine" - a constructive, interactive and educational toy that makes the security screening process easy to understand and maybe even fun.

-----------------------------------------------

(end excerpt)

I think I'm just going make one of those giant blow-up characters you see in front of used car lots based upon Michael Chertoff, head of Homeland Security, so my kids can learn to worship our slave-masters.

Perhaps it'll look something like this:

That's fine-and-dandy -

BUT

They don't just want it limited to flights.

They want this 'terra' to strangle ALL our rights/freedoms.

For example:

(this is from CNN)

Federal ID plan raises privacy concerns

Excerpt:

(CNN) -- Americans may need passports to board domestic flights or to picnic in a national park next year if they live in one of the states defying the federal Real ID Act.

The act, signed in 2005 as part of an emergency military spending and tsunami relief bill, aims to weave driver's licenses and state ID cards into a sort of national identification system by May 2008. The law sets baseline criteria for how driver's licenses will be issued and what information they must contain.

The Department of Homeland Security insists Real ID is an essential weapon in the war on terror, but privacy and civil liberties watchdogs are calling the initiative an overly intrusive measure that smacks of Big Brother.

More than half the nation's state legislatures have passed or proposed legislation denouncing the plan, and some have penned bills expressly forbidding compliance.

The cards would be mandatory for all "federal purposes," which include boarding an airplane or walking into a federal building, nuclear facility or national park, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff told the National Conference of State Legislatures last week. Citizens in states that don't comply with the new rules will have to use passports for federal purposes.

"There's going to be an irreducible expense that falls on you, and that's part of the shared responsibility," Chertoff told the state legislators.

NCSL spokesman Bill Wyatt said the requirements are "almost physically impossible." States will have to build new facilities, secure those facilities and shell out for additional equipment and personnel.

Those costs are going to fall back on the American taxpayer, he said. It might be in the form of a new transportation, motor vehicle or gasoline tax. Or you might find it tacked on to your next state tax bill. In Texas, Wyatt said, one official told him that without federal funding, the Lone Star State might have to charge its citizens more than $100 for a license.

Many states have revolted. The governors of Idaho, Maine, Montana, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, South Carolina and Washington have signed bills refusing to comply with the act. Six others have passed bills and/or resolutions expressing opposition, and 15 have similar legislation pending.

States have the right to refuse to comply with the program, he said, and they also have the right to continue issuing IDs and driver's licenses that don't meet Real ID requirements.

But, Walsh said, "any state that's refusing to implement this key recommendation by the 9/11 Commission, and whose state driver's licenses are as a result used in another terrorist attack, should be held responsible."

State reaction to Real ID has not been all negative. Four states have passed bills or resolutions expressing approval for the program, and 13 states have similar legislation pending (Several states have pending pieces of legislation both applauding and opposing Real ID).

Chertoff said there would be repercussions for states choosing not to comply.

"This is not a mandate," Chertoff said. "A state doesn't have to do this, but if the state doesn't have -- at the end of the day, at the end of the deadline -- Real ID-compliant licenses then the state cannot expect that those licenses will be accepted for federal purposes."

HOW 'BOUT THEM APPLES !?!?!?!?

It just seems our society is moving towards everyone being guilty until proven innocent.

If we lose our basic rights, the terrorists (whomever they REALLY are) have won.

By the way, here's one of the amendments contained in the Bill of Rights:

Fourth AmendmentProtection from unreasonable search and seizure.
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized
