It's my personal and professional opinion that 3yr olds are FAR WORSE than 2 year olds. I can deal with twos because I know that 99% of their issues/frustrations/issues are related to communication (or lack therof). By three, they talk. They sass. And they know better... and are testing their limits to see how far they can take things. I don't mind 'new' 3's - but by 3.5, I wash my hands of them, LOL! |

My daughter turned 2 last week, and HOLY MOLY its a nightmare! And I have a six month year old, and she thinks he a ball. She scrapes him and pushes him off the bed, poor guy! All this started last week.

Two is such fun!! A girl at our church was saying that her daughter "got an attitude" for her birthday! As I've said in past posts, my own boys had no terrible two thing. It came as a major shock when Hayden started on us!! So far, the time out thing works fairly well, as he hates being still for long. We don't leave him in the chair but a few minutes, but he's terrific afterward!

Hi ladies! I'm new here, but I just couldn't resist posting on this one. I'm a SAHM of a 2yr old boy and 7 month old girl. My 2yr old doesn't have TT's very often, but when he does oh boy. We have tried several things to get him to stop and I have found 2 to be most effective for him. If he's having a serious meltdown, he has to go to his room until he's done crying and screaming, when he's over it he comes out and says "sorry mommy". Now on the minor meltdowns, all I have to do is tell him that I'm going to spank his Nana then he tells me no and gets over it. His nana is my mom, he adores her and doesn't want anything to happen to his Nana!

OK ANOTHER STORY FOR YOU...........THIS ONE IS NOT LITTLE MAN RELATED, ALTHOUGH HE IS MY WORST TERRIBLE 3, DD (13 NOW) WAS THE CREATIVE TERRIBLE 3.
YEARS AGO, AT THE LAKELAND SQUARE MALL, THEY USED TO HAVE A DROP OFF PLAYPLACE DOWN BY SEARS, WHERE MOMMIES COULD DROP THIER CHILDREN TO PLAY (FOR A FEE) WHILE THEY WENT SHOPPING, ALTHOUGH I NEVER USED IT, IT SOUNDED LIKE A GOOD IDEA. WE WERE DONE SHOPPING, AND ACTUALLY LEAVING, WHEN MY DARLING D DECIDED TO START PITCHING HER FIT. WE WERE PASSING BY THE DROP OFF PLACE, WITH ALL OF ABOUT 15 PARENTS STANDING OUTSIDE, PICKING UP THIER CHILDREN. MY DD STARTS THROWING HERSELF ON THE GROUND KICKING & SCREAMING, AND OF COURSE, I PICKED HER UP, TRYING TO CONTROL MYSELF, I NEVER SPANKED HER IN PUBLIC, BUT I ADMIT I DID PINCH HER BUTT IN PUBLIC, TO GET MY POINT ACCROSS. WELL THAT I GUESS PUSHED HER BUTTONS BEYOND CONTROL. SHE STARTS SCREAMING "LET ME GO, LET ME GO, YOUR NOT MY MOMMY, DON'T TOUCH ME" NEEDLESS TO SAY, AFTER SECURITY WAS CALLED, AND THE 15 PARENTS STOPPED THIER PUBLIC STONING OF THE 3 YEAR OLD'S KIDNAPPER, MY DARLING THREE YEAR OLD HAS LIVED TO BE 13. WHEN LITTLE MAN NOW THROWS HIS TEMPER TANTREMS I JUST SMILE AT THE STARES OF PEOPLE, AND THANK GOD HE IS NOT AS CREATIVE AS HIS SISTER WAS. 1 tired mommy- I laughed when I read you kidnapped you daughter. I think if mine ever did that to me they would get a butt whooping then would not go out with me till they could prove they could act right..
Bryson just turned 2 and he is going to be a holy terror- he is into everything and no matter what you do he still goes back for more. Alayna will be 4 in October and I think she is still in her terrible 2's. She doesn't really throw the fits in public but she darn sure does them here when she gets angry. She is on this she has to go first kick- well of course Felicity like to torment her and make sure that she runs to the door before Alayna.. when this happens we have screaming and yelling and she won't move she'll sit on the ground till Felicity goes back and lets her go first... then she's got this fake cry- she will start crying for no reason or just because she wants something and can't get it... last week we introduced a little dap of dish soap to stop that- The first time she tasted that she stopped and if she starts to cry like that we get the soap to the counter and she stops (Don't get me wrong we don't pour soap down her throat... just ran my finger across the top of the soap to get enough for her to taste- we had to do this with Felicity and it did wonders with her screaming and yelling.) Been told hot sauce does the same... Melissa- Mommy to four!! Felicity, Alayna, Bryson and Gavin |

I have loads of stories that my creative one, MY DD, has gotten away with, I add more as the topics allow, but I have a really good sense of humor now, I did not back then. I believe the older you get the less you worry about it. Poor little MAN will probably get away with alot, because I'm too tired to deal with it anymore, and I pick my battles now. More stories to come......lol.
