Yes, never say you aren't going to do something because sure enough you will do it. I remember with my first, I swore I was going to do everything by the book!! Then you find the "book" doesn't work when they are crying and won't sleep, etc. so you do what you have to but never say never!!!!

My last update - the bink is gone for good. So if any mom comes to this thread and scans through wondering just how they will do this, that this task seems impossible, please know that it can be done. If Lillian can do it, any child can.

She is doing great.

I will not lie, the first week was tough. You can not give in. I never did the first time- althought tempting.

The second week came and went. She asked a few times for it but as the days went on, hardly at all.

Now, it is like she never had a bink. I really don't think she would use one if I gave it to her now. She is that done. I contribute it to telling her that she is a big girl now and binks are for babies. She sees binks now with babies and says, "that is the baby's binky. Binkys are for babies. I am a big girl."

Good luck to you moms that are or will go through this. Be strong, you can do it Smiler

Congrats on getting rid of the bink! I was lucky with my two. My son hated the bink, so he never had an issue. My daughter needed it to go to sleep. When she was 6 months old I lost BOTH binks in one day. We bought 6 new binks over the next couple of days, but she wouldn't take them because they were different. I found her lost binks a week later, but by that time she didn't want them anymore. Who says its bad to be scatter-brained?!? LOL

Lol, I really did chuckle out loud on this one! That is awesome that you accidently broke your daughter of the bink- very cool!

The reason I laugh is because this sounds like something I would do. People think I am so together- I fake it well. I lose my keys to my
car every single day Big Grin My mind is going on me

babygirl I hate so much that Logan keeps getting sick Frowner
