Hello Everyone,

I am a new mom about to return to work and I am looking for recommendations or leads for someone to watch my son during the week. We live all the way over in Babson Park, but I work towards Winter Haven. Any leads would be appreciated. Thank you for replies and this forum!

I wish you would have gotten some bites on your request. I really would like to have more moms your way active on PolkMoms.

I hope a mom in the areas you specified will be able to find your post and give you some ideas.

Are you looking more for in home care with an at home individual or a daycare center?

Thank you for posting your question to PolkMoms.

I am going to be staying home next year and I have been thinking about watching a child in addition to my daughter. E-mail me if you are interested. My e-mail is gkschwanke@yahoo.com
I can tell you that there are no good daycares in Lake Wales. I take my daughter to Winter Haven even though I teach in Lake Wales. I have heard good things about Grace Lutheran and about Parkland Baptist in Winter Haven. Email me if you have any other questions!

Thank you for the feedback and information. All of the daycares that we looked into in Lake Wales did not make me feel comfortable, so for now I have found a stay at home mom close to our house to watch our infant.

Thank you again!

I live in Lake Wales and highly recommend the Methodist Preschool. They youngest they take is 2 years old and the waiting list takes about that long to get in. I hired a private nanny, a retired nurse, to take care of my daughter until she was 2. It was expensive but totally worth it.
