once again have tryed different diapers with van at night he is leaking thru them all I bought papmers cruisers but they dn't holdup at night so now I am going with pamper baby dry as soon as I run out of the others but yes I also use the cheap brands during the day, I was using Whitecloud at night they were the only ones that do not leak but now they leak also I might also go up to a bigger size for at night I did that with publix brand but they leaked
Isn't funny how every child need to go thru differnt diapers till the right one is found and by that time they are hopefully potty trained.... LOL Van's Mama |

I order my diapers on diapers.com. You can find good deals on a large supply and if you spend enough you get free shipping. I use pampers swaddlers. They work great!

If you buy different diapers and they do not work out....just a tip I learned. Diapers are GREAT for soaking up a spill on carpets or fabrics. If anyone spills a drink or whatever just slap that diaper down (open and inside down of course) put something on it to keep it there for a bit and it draws the liquid out.
I learned this from buying some publix diapers that I was NOT happy with at all. They gave my little one a rash...so they work wonders for any spills we have around the house! |

Anyone use cloth diapers? Since we're having two babies, and I am a penny pincher M and I both agreed that cloth during the day and disposables for when we're going to be out long periods of time/night would probably be our best bet at cutting out some costs. I used to help families out that only used cloth, but I admit it has been years. Are there any cloth diapers you'd reccomend over others? And where can you find the vinyl covers for them now?
PS: I am SO glad to find this thread! I have been staring at the diapers in Wal-Mart for weeks now going "How in the world do I make a decision?!" |

I have always used Huggies with our granddaughter and now with my son. I have never had a leak and my granddaughter really drinks a lot. I tried pampers when we first came home fro the hospital and they leaked.

I have always liked "Huggies Supreme" in the solid reddish maroon bag. They went up at Walmart from $9.52 to $10.48 in one week! All the Huggies and Pampers did. So I switched to Luvs for $7.97. So far so good.
I do recom getting in the Publix baby club, I have a coupon good till Oct for $5.00 off Huggies. Today they have a size 4, 46 count Huggies Supreme on sale for $13.99. Thats a great deal. I haven't tried all the other ones like White cloud, parents choice, publix or target brand yet. I do not like "Huggies Snug and Dry", theres a big difference in those and the "supreme" ones. Get a form to fill out at Publix when you walk in the door, right the sale paper. |

Yep! We use cloth diapers [and disposables at night]. We are on a tight budget as well. I'm a stay at home mom and DH is an ESE teacher in the county. So cloth was a great way to go. Not to mention the benefits of no chemicals and the eco friendly part as well. For disposables I try to use 7th Generation diapers that are chlorine free. We use the chinese prefolds with the simple vinyl covers from Walmart. It is the cheapest route and works! Then I just buy a couple yards of fleece fabric from Walmart, cut them up and use them as liners to whisk away the wetness. I've also bought the pack of microfiber towels from the automtive section to use for extra absorbancy as well! "...fearfully and wonderfully made and my soul knows this well" Psalm 139:14 |
