Hey everyone,
I have been having a problem with my 15 month old daughter.......up until about 10 months old she would sleep in her crib with no problems, but since then she will not sleep in her crib! If we try to make her go to sleep in there buy putting her in her crib to play until she is sleepy, she just screams like crazy nonstop. Is there a way to get her to sleep in her own crib? Have any of you had this problem? What technique worked for you? |

Have you tried just rocking her to sleep then lying her in the crib, unfortunetly that is the only way my son goes to sleep right now he is spoiled but I enjoy the snuggle time. but he is only 7 months just a suggestion.

i had a similar problem. but mine was my 2 year old was climbing into and out of her crib. so we decided it was time for a toddler bed. well she refused to sleep in it. she screamed. so what i ended up doing was putting the bed in the same place as her crib was and kept the empty crib touching the end of the bed. and i tryed to keep all her bedding and stuffed animals the same. she was still having problems falling asleep .
so i started a regular routine of brushing her teeth. then she picks a book to read and we rock in a chair as i read her the book. now after thats done every night she crawls into her toddler bed by herself now and calls for her hugs and kisses. after about a week i was able to take the crib down but i don't dare move the bed. it was an interesting experiance. |

Krystal it sounds like you are getting good advice. I am one of those "rocking mommas" too. Consistent routine works best at our house. Keep us updated.
Courtney thanks for adding your advice in toddler bed/crib transitioning. I am planning that soon with Lillian. ~Mother to Brandon, Austin, Ethan, Ryan and Lillian~ Breaking Lillian of the bink. Just call me, "The Bad Guy" |
