Julie - we were also recommended to Dr. Eanet, but found out that he only takes newborns. That is not the policy of all doctors at Watson Clinic, and is actually how we ended up with Dr. Moore - who I have to say again that we love. We just found out we're expecting another baby in November and he/she will also be going to Dr. Moore.

In the Lakeland area, I can recommend Lakeside Pediatrics. They have an office on the Northside and one on the Southside.
There are four doctors, we usually see Dr Leviten, but have seen the others on occasion when my kids have been sick. They are great doctors and I trust them completely. I will say that the office staff can be a bit abrasive which is irritating at times, but overall, since my daughter was born 3.5 years ago, we've been very happy with this practice. |

Dr. Wehle with Watson Clinic North Pediatrics is WONDERFUL. The office is off Lkld Hills Blvd next to the Woman's Center. He's been a Dr for many years and is VERY knowledgeable and takes time with every child & parent. Highly recommended!!

I take my children to Dr. Cynthia Hutto at Watson Clinic South Pediatrics. She used to be at the northside location, but she moved to the south location (behind Target). We live on the northside, but I've been very pleased with her, so to me it's worth the drive! She's very patient and answers all my questions without making me feel bothersome or crazy! I've heard several good things about the pediatricians at Watson Clinic (both north & south).

Hi everyone! I've used Pediatric Associates for 10 years now. There is a north and south location. You can get an appointment the same day you call and all of thier staff is wonderful. They are not open on Sundays but I have always been able to reach a Dr. on the phone at anytime and they have told me how to handle the situation and what to do. At least one of the Doctors also works at Night Owl Pediatrics too. I have been there a few times as well and they are great too. They are basically open 5-11 during the week and all weekend long.

Hi, ever considered care for the whole family with one family physician, Board Certified US graduate. It is very convenient. Also, as a single practitioner office, you get to see the same provider EVERY TIME. Office staff is extremely accommodating, with same and next day visits almost always available! Most major insurance( Includes BCBS, United, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, Polk Health Care Plan, Great West, Tricare, Citrus Health Care, Physicians United, more), cash accounts welcome. Conveniently located off of South Florida Avenue in South Lakeland. Services include pediatric, adult, female care, vaccinations, weight management, migraine management, stress/depression management and more.

Wow! I feel EXACTLY the same way about Lakeside. I LOVE their Doc's, but get very frustrated with the rudeness of their staff and lack of willingness to help their clients. Glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. |

We go to Lakeside Peds. also. I have never had a problem with any of the staff. My daughter has serious kidney problems and they see us the same day. The staff knows us my name and anytime I go in with my other children they always are sure to ask how she is doing. We see Mrs. Wallace mostly and absolutly love her.

Hello, Ladies,
I wanted to say that just about every doctor, from ob-gyns to pediatricians, have troublesome staff. It seems the norm. I wanted to include: NITE OWL PEDIATRICS They can be great for those families whose children seem to get ill during the night or weekends, when your regular doctors' offices are closed. http://www.niteowlpediatrics.com/ NITE OWL SERVICES including bladder infections, respiratory infections, sinus infections, sprains and strains, cuts and stitches, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, wounds/rashes/burns/bites, x-rays and minor fractures, asthma and breathing treatments, pregnancy testing, with x-rays/labs/EKG on-site! and MORE- http://www.niteowlpediatrics.com/services.nxg I am also including some information that was asked about on the AUTISM Thread by lkldmom:
Here is my reply regarding Pediatricians who are willing to work with parents/families: lkldmom, thanks for your patience. As I mentioned in my PM, it would take me some time, but here are some: Robinson Family Clinic 4406 S. Florida Avenue Suite 30 Lakeland, FL 33813-2175 CALL: 863-646-5088 http://www.getprolo.com/robinson_florida.htm Lakeside Pediatrics Northside: 2929 Lakeland Hills Boulevard Lakeland, Florida 33805 863.688.3550 Monday 8:00am-4:30pm Tuesday 8:00am-4:30pm Wednesday 8:00am-4:30pm Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm Southside: 5950 South Florida Avenue Lakeland, Florida 33813 863.619.8441 Monday 8:00am-4:30pm Tuesday 8:00am-4:30pm Wednesday 8:00am-4:30pm Thursday 8:00am-4:30pm Friday 8:00am-4:30pm http://lakesidepeds.com/ I can also add that Watson Clinic is very against ANY change with the vaccination recommendations and scheduling and WILL turn your name/family in to the State Health Department who WILL in turn harass you to no end about vaccinations. Dr. Haskins has a unique, to say the least, bedside manner of keeping his back to the family the entire time to check off his age old and tired checklist, except to turn around when he disagrees with you. That checklist may not so much apply to your child(ren)'s situation, but it's used none-the-less and regardless of what you have to say or your chief complaints. Dr. Hutto has been mentioned as professional and knowledgeable by others we are acquainted with. Clark and Daughtrey's Dr. Enlow will work with families, however, used to exempt for Religious Reasons and was called by the Health Department and told she could not do that. So, she has to refer all families who want to opt out of vaccinations to the Health Department. This information was provided by the Receptionist via telephone. From my understanding Clark and Daughtrey on a whole has good doctors, however their staff can be problematic. Which can be typical. I find it interesting that the Health Department has told doctors they are unable to exempt families and must refer them. Only in this way can families be tracked, you realize. When you go to the Health Department, you are asked to provide your child(ren)'s Social Security Number. Upon refusal, they just look it up from their data base connected with the state from hospital births. Then they just supply it on their forms anyway. It is the government's way of keeping track of those who veer from the "norm." Some families we know even recommend NOT obtaining a SS# at the hospital or even thereafter. The only reason for a SS# is if you are collecting government monetary aid for medical reasons for your child or for employment, which wouldn't apply to your child(ren) anyway. I suggest you call around and have a list of prepared questions, such as how willing are the Pediatricians to work with families on waiting, staggering, or declining vaccinations. You CAN do a consultation, usually free of charge, with any doctor(s). Good Luck to you! "To Everything There is a Season, A Time for Every Purpose Under Heaven" Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 |

We use Watson Clinic on the North side- Dr. Cornett. He is awesome. He is a younger guy and seems to care a lot about his patients. Our third child has a lot of health issues and Dr. Cornett showed a concern for them all. I didn't care for the doctors at Gessler Clinic. The lady there kept trying to get us to do urine bags on our daughters even though they had no symptoms of anything being wrong- When we got to Cornett he told us you can't get a clean catch that way on a young child and he wouldn't want to do that unless they had symptoms that something was wrong. I also agree about the staff members at Lakeside Pediatrics. I have three children who went to Lakeside for years. It became increasingly difficult to interact with their staff. Dr. Hiben a former doctor of Lakeside Pediatrics also tired of the BS of their practice and left and started his own practice in Tampa. Our family followed him and we love him. It's not that bad of a drive, about 25 minutes once you hit I4 at Memorial Blvd. His staff is very friendly, I have been able to get same day work-in appts every time I've called, he has night hours also, and HE makes return phone calls, not a snobbish receptionist! His office is located : 13389 N. 56th St. Tampa 33617 813-983-9495
