I see that you all are looking for peds. I LOVE Dr. Eason at Clark and Daughtry in Winter Haven. He was my ped. as I child and I drove from Kingsland Ga (almost 300 miles)monthly to have him see my daughter b/c two peds. up here had missed diag. her. His nurse prac. is also AMAZING and has late afternoon appt. after the office is closed on certain days. The office is clean, the staff is great and you are treated like an individual with important needs and concerns, not just another patient. THe only problem that I have ever had with them is that they won't move to GA to be my daughter's full time Dr.'s office! lol. Ya'll should check them out.

I can vouch for the wonderful staff of Clark and Daughtry in Winter Haven. Our childs main doctor is Dr. Eason. However, with recurrent ear infections, and everything else you can imagine, we have visited their offices on weekends as well as during the week. In addition we have called Winter Haven Hospital to have the pediatrician on call paged and have not waited even 10 minutes for a return call. Between weekend visits, we have personally dealt with Drs. Sandoval, Alvarez, and Mona, their nurse practioner. All were wonderful and the same as seeing Dr. Eason. Would recommend any of them.

We have started going to Dr. Chachad at Lakeside Pediatrics (SOUTH) and LOVE her! She is very sweet to the kids and they love her too, (which is most important to her). She treats you like a friend not a patient. So I feel she is honest and attentive. Very happy with her. I never noticed any rudeness from the staff, maybe went on a good day! Razzer

Does anyone know if the Pediatric practice in Lakeland that American recommened [the alternative vaccine one] takes the Florida Kid Care program insurance? I kind of feel stuck trying to find a pediatrician who will work with me on delaying and/or not doing vaccinations AND takes the insurance. I'm in Lake Wales.

Yes, I do. I use Dr. Todd Robinson for my son. I just switched him from another dr. I am so glad I did. I really like him. Dr. Robinson will work with whatever you decided about the vaccines. He is very informed and helpful if you have any questions. About the insurance, they don’t take any. This for me ends up being cheaper, they going to another dr. with insurance. Since we had to pay a co-pay and meet the deductible. If you have anymore question I will gladly answer them for you.

For those of you who don't want to be harassed about vaccinations, I ALSO suggest Dr. Robinson.

We LOVE him and his son.

The son, Dr. Todd, has a local radio show here in Lakeland.

For those of you who want to find out more about the dangers of vaccination, I suggest the following site:

www.vaclib.org

Also, please watch this video presentation by Dr. Sherri Tenpenny:

Vaccines: The benefits....the risks...the choices

AND

If you have been lied to by the school system that it's "the law" you have to be vaccinated, take a look at this link which has all the appropriate exemption forms, including birth:

FLORIDA - IMMUNIZATION EXEMPTIONS (includes current statutes, letters & forms)

And also, this is a must-read by Dr. Rebecca Carley:

INOCULATIONS: THE TRUE WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION

Or visit Dr. Carley's website:

http://www.drcarley.com/

Have fun.

And be sure you breastfeed your kids, and keep away from McDonald's, etc.

You won't NEED the pediatrician very much if you follow that advice.

quote:
"The flu vaccine gets the most-useless-vaccine-of-all-time award. Now the CDC is recommending the vaccine for children under two years old and all adults over 50. Don't fall for it."---Randall Neustaedter OMD

quote:
"Imagine... the gullibility of a public that not only believes that these companies give them a safe and effective product but that they give them the credence of a god that two years in advance when they start making these serums they know which particular kind of influenza is going to be causing the epidemic two years later. I mean you know these people have the utter gall to tell people that they can do it because they can’t."---Eva Snead, M.D.

quote:
"In the course of a vaccination trial that took place in France on October 1st, 1981, Professor Mercie, former director of the glamorous Pasteur Institute, was asked why the Institute kept producing and selling its anti-'flu vaccine despite its recognized worthlessness. Professor Mercie's candid reply: 'Because it helps financing the Institute's research'." - (Hans Ruesch, Naked Empress p81)

quote:
"Influenza vaccination, although promoted extensively by the authorities, is probably ineffectual (I base this on 20 years of personal experience as a provider of this vaccine) and certainly has been associated with nasty neurologic complications such as Guillian-Barrè syndrome."---Thomas Dorman MD

quote:
I always know when it's flu season. First, the media begins its usual role as hyterical government press secretary, uncritically trumpeting the same cooked numbers about the coming flu epidemic. ... NBC's Today Show (10/6/04), warn that the flu kills about 36,000 people every year in the United States. .....It's a crock, a lie, and a sham; a conspiracy to generate fear and stampede people to use a vaccine of questionable effectiveness to the benefit of pro-immunization bureaucrats, and big pharma. Sounds harsh, but follow the math and the money. When the major manufacturers of flu vaccine get together with the CDC in a closed door summit with the sole purpose of figuring out how to stick 185 million doses of a questionable vaccine into a population in which less than 1,000 people a year die, what should we call it? Yes, Virginia, it is a conspiracy. Luckily the conspirators are foolish enough to believe that their website is safely hidden amidst all the chaff of the Internet, or else, are so brazen in their contempt for the general population that they think we can't do a little math and conclude "The vaccine doesn't work, and the flu is a flim-flam!" The CDC should concentrate on finding ways to lower the spread, working alternatives to vaccines, and ways to minimizing the severity of the flu, rather than pumping out fake numbers, creating an aura of fear and hysteria, and shilling for profits to huge pharma companies. I use Dr. Luks at Southgate Pediatrics!!! I love it!!! They always see us within the hour of a problem. The office staff is so friendly and actually relay messages to the dr. and they they relay back whether we need to see him or not. If we're in for one of our numerous ear infections, he calls us the next day to check on our child.

I have been to a few mentioned and I will never use them again. Their staff is rude and you can't see the dr often and when the dr. call back it is to late to be seen!!!! Also, I am a K teacher and it is obvious we have sub-par pedaitric care in lakeland since so many children enter school with difficulites that dr.s' have missed in their annual exams!!!!

warnerann, thank you for letting us know your good luck and experiences at Dr. Luk's office. I have said in the past that it is soooo important to have a great staff. The best doctor with crummy staff just ruins it for me.

I can see how frustrating it can be to work at a doctors office, but I wish staff can handle each person on an individual basis and have their attitude fluctuate to the next person's needs.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Lakeside Pediatrics doctors and nurses but HATE HATE HATE their billing department. We have 5 children and when they send a bill and we send in our payment with the payment stub, they will apply it to which ever childs account they feel like applying it to the correct account, applying to any childs bill but the correct one. This has caused us to recieve late notices ALL THE TIME I cannot count the number of times we have called them to get it cleared up or fixed and still they mess up. Today I received a bill from them that was from January for child number 1 and February for child number 5, Since those bills, I have been in the office 4 times and have paid 3 different bills for them (and spent 2 hours on the phone with them in March over spring break!) but today I received a late notice because their billing department cannot decide to pay off the farthest bill first. And if we use common sense and send in one check for 2 children at one time WITH BOTH the payment stubs they cannot figure to pay off the whole bill per child instead applying it all to one child and telling us we over paid them. I really hate to deal with incompentency and feel like that is all I deal with in their clarical staff. Maybe someone else has had a lot better luck dealing with it but as for us we don't. But as I said we LOVE the nurses and Doctors there I never feel rushed when I have the doctor in the room they make us feel that our child is the only one they are seeing today an will gladly answer all my questions even remembering which child needs to warm up first and which child needs all his questions answered. I cannot say enough good about them.
