We have started going to Dr. Chachad at Lakeside Pediatrics (SOUTH) and LOVE her! She is very sweet to the kids and they love her too, (which is most important to her). She treats you like a friend not a patient. So I feel she is honest and attentive. Very happy with her. I never noticed any rudeness from the staff, maybe went on a good day! I couldn't agree more. I have been taking my angels to Lakeside Peds, since we relocated to Lakeland, since they were THE most respected practice here. At first we were assigned to a Ms. Wallace, but then by chance quickly got acquainted with Dr. Chachad, and I have never looked back. Dr. Chachad respects our wishes, diagnoses the ailments correctly, treats our angels with top priority, and is absolutely friendly. At times, she has gone out of her way to provide us with valuable and accurate information. The kids also absolutely adore her, and recognise her immediately during our visit. She is available on the Northside and the Southside locations, and we call and request for to be seen by her where she is for the day. I wouldn't dare go anywhere else. What sold us on her is that when we visited my husband's family in another country, she was completely honest about what vaccination the kids should have, what to watch out for, what to eat, etc. She comes highly recommended. Front Staff at Lakeside is very iffy. Don't expect world class service - Sometimes good, sometimes rude. Mostly we don't pay attention, but they could be more polite. The practice certainly could provide better training to the front and billing staff and improve customer service and PR. |

I strongly agree. lakeside peds is one of the best pedi office in lakeland. In the line of work I do I refer alot of momies to lakeside pediatrics. That is an awesome facility. They accept all types of insurances, including medicaid. the only thing with medicaid , you have to choose the proper plan to be able to take your children there. if there is anyone that needs help or needs insuranceor has medicaid and needs to choose a plan, please let me know i am available to give a helping hand,
thanks STAYWELL ! |

It has been my experience with lakeside peds that we only get to see an actual doctor on about 25% of our visits. The rest of the time we get PA’s. When we lived in north Lakeland we went to the north one and saw a PA who’s last name was Snow (I think). He was the rudest most inconsiderate person. We opted out of the vaccinations because of our religious beliefs and he proceeded to interrogate us (my wife and I) at the office. I have never been more uncomfortable.
Then, if that wasn’t enough, a few months later when my newborn son became ill, we took him back to lakeside peds (north end) and saw a different doctor, got meds, went home. Later that same day, good ole Mr. Snow called and again harassed us over the phone wanting to know why we aren’t vaccinating our kids and that by doing that we were causing them life long harm, etc etc. He went on to say that he just didn’t understand why some parents would intentionally put their children in harms way. Needless to say, that was the last time we went to the north one. We have been to the south Lakeland one a few times and have been somewhat satisfied with the service. We still don’t see the actual doctor as much as we’d like, but at least they don’t harass us about the vaccines anymore. We had to go to the health dept and get the certificate stating we opted out for religious beliefs. What a hassle. |

I take my son to Lakeside Peds on the south side where we see Mr. Snow. I think he is a wonderful person and definately knows what he is talking about. I feel very comfortable with him and I would definately recommend him to any parent!

This is for anyone, not just those posting recently about seeing a PA at Lakeside Pediatrics.......
You do NOT have to see a PA. Some parents don't mind and their PA is knowledgeable and respectful. Some aren't, though. BUT, you ALWAYS have the option. We have never seen the PA where we go - I can't even think of one time when we were asked if we wanted to. I know a PA fielded one of our calls once, but we wanted follow up with the actual Ped's nurse and/or Ped himself and received it. Anyway, you can request the doctor. I would imagine, though, once you accept seeing the PA, it's easier for them to just put you with him/her. If there are two offices, being flexible about going to either is more helpful in seeing the actual doctor also. |

I also go to the Southside office of Lakeside Pediatrics. I am very happy there. I usually request to see Mr. Snow. I believe he is very knowledgeable, and actually had a previous doctor (Dr. Hyben) recommend him to us.
I have been very pleased with him, and he is very friendly with my kids. |

I went to Lakeside as a child and my son goes now as well. I love it, I feel that they are conservative in practice, and I never had a problem seeing a MD. Mr. Snow is wonderful though and I have found that I have learned more from him in some matters than the MDs.
The staff however sucks and it really should be addressed because their attitudes are just uncalled for. I called one time because my son was ill and had a fever of 104 then girl on the phone had the nerve to tell me that there were no openings... I said he has a high fever, I am sure you can squeeze that in afterall that is what a physician relationship is for. I stay for the doctors but I throw it back what I get from the prunes up front. |

I said it before and I'll say it again- We LOVE Dr. Cornett!!! He knows our kids by name- he will be seeing one of them and ask about the other specifically by name. He is the one that heard the holes in Brysons heart (after a week in the NICU and no one caught it), He noticed him being tongue tied- Not to mention my kids love going to see him. He is really down to earth and talks to you like your human. Also, he doesn't tell you your wrong when doing things parenting wise he gives you his advise or says you know what can happen if they do...
He's really great and medical assistants are just as great! Melissa- Mommy to four!! Felicity, Alayna, Bryson and Gavin ![]() *www.pinkhopesanddreams.info* |

We see Dr. Chachad, too. I wouldn't trust my chidren's care to ANYONE else. My son has many medical issues and she's the only doctor that's cared enough to help us out. His face lights up when she walks in the room and all the nurses and front office staff know us by name. I do know that at stressful times (right before school, holidays, etc...) the front staff tends to seem anxious, but who can blame them when they're swamped because of last minute appointments.
I have seen Mr. Snow (He's the south-side PA) and he's the only person (besides our normal nurse) that I'll let draw blood on my children. First try, everytime. He's always so nice, too. I worked in a pharmacy through college and would often have to call dr. offices. One call to WC sticks in my mind, which is one of the reasons I refuse to go there. We had a mother tell us of an allergy to a med for her child, so we phoned the office and the nurse said the parent would need to make another appointment to get the meds changed. I questioned them asking why we couldn't do it via phone and she responded with, "We see lots of patients on a daily basis, we can't help if some parents are too stupid to tell us their kids' allergies." When I hung up the phone, I told the parent to switch drs. And knew I'd never go there! |

We all have our faves and those we trust our children too. Every doctor is different.
But I can assure you I have heard similar stories about Lakeside Pediatrics so everyone (doctor's office) has their issues...... ~Shiloh~ |

I take both my children to Lakeside. We only see Dr. Chachad. She's so caring and is so great with both my kids. If my son is sick (which averages once a week visits), my daughter likes to come along to say hello to everyone.
My son's had many medical issues and we've been very happy with the treatment plan Dr. Chachad's able to provide. The post before about Mr.Snow and drawing blood is right-on! My son's had to have his blood drawn several times and thankfully, we'd already been enlightened to Mr. Snow's ability and have been able to save him from countless sticks. We love the office staff! We know them all on a first-name basis because of my son's issues. They're so kind and attentive to our needs. I know they tend to have bad days, but don't we all!?! I also used to work in a pharmacy and I could share similar stories about every provider. You just have to find a provider that you believe in...and for us, it's Dr. Chachad. |

I take my children to see Dr.Wehle at Watson Clinic North and LOVE him. He takes as much time is needed and doesn't rush you. We used to use Lakeside b/c that is where I went since I was born. They used to be great and I still like Dr. Levetin but we had an awful experience. My son had a seizure at 9 months and we called the after hours number and talked to Mr. Snow. We described to him what happened b/c we had no idea what was going on. He said that everything was fine and to bring him in the next day. We were in there first thing in the morning. When we got there they said that the first available appt. was at 10:30. One of the receptionists called him and talked to him and he said that there wasn't a big deal, that it could wait until the appt. time. We came back at 10:30 and saw Dr. Rollette. She was kind of freaked out and I think a little upset at how it was handled. She said that he was going to have to be admitted to the hospital and have a spinal tap done. They did the spinal in the office and I wasn't allowed in the room, which broke my heart. I could hear my pore little 9 month old boy screaming and couldn't do anything to help him. After that they sent us to the hospital with his spinal fluid to give to the nurse there. He spent 3 days in the hospital and had so many tests done. It turns out that he has Febrile Seizures and he will grow out of them. But what if Dr. Snow's inaction had caused a more serious problem? I realize now that I should have trusted my instincts and taken him to the emergency room, but I was a new mom and thought that I could trust the doctor on call. We stopped going there immediately and now see Dr. Wehle. He is amazing. He always takes his time and answers any questions that I have. He will print out anything that I need from his doctor database( that's what I call it, lol) and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. They are also open on Sat. for sick appts.
