I don't see a way to PM someone here. Am I missing it? I thought I saw it on the regular ledger forums.

Shawn, I was going to ask if we need a General Chit Chat Forum? I see one for pictures but not sure where general talking would go.

Rachel, thank you for asking all these questions. The software for the forums does have a personal message feature I believe? I don't think it is enabled. I will check with my tech support to see if that is an option that we can add.

as far as general chat, feel free to use mom to mom forum to start new threads. Since this is a mom site, I figured it would be mom on mom chat mostly and that was the slot I thought to designate for random things. There may be times I will pull threads from there or other areas of the site to include them in another forum if I feel they're categorized better somewhere else.

Thank you Shawn. I know it can be busy being a Mod of a Board. I've been there and know how things can be.

Another suggestion... I don't know if this site would allow it but having a Private Forum for only Members of Polk Moms would be a good idea. For any topics that ladies here want to talk about without the whole world being able to read it.

Ladies Private Messaging (PM) is enabled. PolkMoms has the function turned on. If you would like to private message someone the steps are;

Click go tab in talk section of site down to personal zone, this will then slide over and the column should display Private Messaging. You will then see a blue bar that says, "New Private Message. Click on this and you will then add who you want to add into a message chat. Have fun!

Gritsrus, I am so sorry this is happening. Back to the drawing board. I will find out what I can do about this tomorrow. It works for me, but when I went to invite you to a chat, it gave me the prompt that you were not allowed.

If anyone else has time test to see if this is happening for you. You can message me to test.

I tried it, and it didn't work for me either. I got the same error message. Hopefully, it will work soon.

I get a lot of support from The Ledger and the New York Times on this website. They are great to work for and as a mom I am so happy they are providing this site for us all.

Yea! It works!

Eve is the software used for PolkMoms forums. In the program all permissions had not been assigned to the registered users. No one at work understood why. I went into the software and marked that members do have permission to PM. yay!

Your private messages are sent to your personal email.

I hope you moms out there find it useful and please see it as one more way of getting a hold of me if you need me
