Congratulations Ashley! Twins are fun! My brother and his wife have 5 year old identical twin boys. They are alike, yet different... Just an FYI for Kelly (momtomj&jt), I also went to LGHS & FSC. What years were you there? I graduated from LGHS in 1993 and from FSC in 1998. I still live in the Lake Gibson area, it's home. I have lived in Lakeland all my life!

I'm Katie, I am a part time waitress and a full time mama to my two year old daughter Lillie. We recently (6 weeks ago) lost our second daughter Victoria when I was thirty four weeks pregnant due to the cord being wrapped around her neck. I found out about this site from Shawn when she came into my restaurant. I am going to school to be a teacher and may oneday homeschool my children. Yes we are trying for more children so pray for us. Shawn I will share any info you would like about my experience just tell me where to post.

KATIE! I am so glad you came to PolkMoms! I loved talking and meeting you. Thank you for coming. Your story continues to touch me, I know I gushed a thousand so sorrys to you, but I’m still overwhelmed by my feelings for you and your family. I wish you so much peace and hope in your future. Katie, I think a topic such as this would be served to other pregnant moms in the pregnancy section. Please let us know if you think additional ultrasounds could have helped. Were you ever given any thoughts from professionals that they felt could have prevented this tragedy, like more ultrasounds for detection? Katie, any insight you could give that could possibly help other moms and babies would be great. Thank you for taking me up on my offer of coming to PolkMoms

Trudy, It is a lot of work and with the list you provided I can tell you are truly in the graduating mix. I promise you have at least one mom here that knows what you are going through. If you think you have some tips and dos and don'ts advice about the graduation venture, let us know in the teens section. I look forward to hearing more about you and your family on PolkMoms. Thanks Trudy!

I guess I should introduce myself to those who don't know me on the news forums. I am a happily married mother of 4. My youngest is going on 16, and my oldest is 22. I served in the Army for 8 years, and now I am in college studying to be a social worker. Three of my children are still at home. My 18 year old is autistic and will be a senior next year. My daughter is 17, a junior, sings and plays in the band. My youngest is homeschooled. He is my science and math junkie, and spend his spare time developing and programming original video games. Some of the faces here I recognize, and to those that I don't, it is very nice to meet you.
