For Alison - where in Lakeland are you moving? (general area, road name, north or south). Most people think Lakeland is a small town but it can take about 30-40 minutes to get from one side to the other.

I've recently decided to start running, well jogging and walking fast is more like it. I've entered into my first 5k, which is in May during Mayfaire and I'm super stoked. My name is Missy and I have three children. Tyler 12, Hayley 9, and Madison 3. I am a part time SAHM in Mulberry. I have lived in the area all of my life. Graduated from LHS in 1988 and USF in 1993. I married my high school sweetheart and still think he is just awesome. I enjoy spending time with the family, scuba diving and running. I currently spending my time learning the ins and outs of horse ownership. My daughter is heavy into dressage so I am learning to load and trailer a horse all with my very energetic three year old in tow. There is nothing a mom can't do!!! Anyway, I am so excited to have found this site and I am looking forward to chatting with all the other moms. Hi Missy, I am jealous that you have horses. I grew up in a wonderful Alturas environment with horses. I loved it! I guess you could say I traded that lifestyle for the convenience of having soccer fields and a Publix 2 minutes from my house.

I agree The Ledger has done a wonderful thing in stressing the importance of women in our community. I LOVE THE LEDGER!
