I prefer South lakeland. the new booming area is down 540A/ cruise lake Road. If you tell me what you are looking at then I can give you lots of info on the better schools and such. Good luck with your move.

I have lived on the northside, in the Lake Gibson area as well as the Kathleen area. I would recommend the Lake Gibson area myself.

I live in Bartow, not to far from Lakeland. I do enjoy Lakeland a lot. I have some friends that live around the downtown areas - around Florida Southern College area. It is beautiful and often times historic through there. Good luck in your relocation and welcome to PolkMoms.

Like any town there are good parts and not so good parts. I was born and raised in the E. Lakeland area and still here. It's been fine for the most part. I always liked S. Lakeland too.
