Four years ago, I was searching for a new home church. I "accidently" found myself at Life Source Community Church at 919 S. Combee, Lakeland. Went & felt right at home, but couldn't understand God's plan, as the children there outnumbered that adults by a whole bunch!! I'm 59 and had no little people. I loved it, so I stayed. Two years later, I found myself raising two grandsons. God's plan suddenly made sense! The church is growing from the inside as we had 8 newborns last year & are expecting 3 this year!! God is so amazing!

P.S. This is a true family church, and all are very much welcomed.

Judy is that you? If so I am so glad you are here. This is Lisa Loomis. I would agree with you about that. I have been in this church since it was established in 1980 and it has always been a very family friendly church, even though we started our children's programs and youth program within the last seven years. I am so glad you have found us Judy. I think you are awesome!

Yes, Lisa! I love LSCC! As I said, I had no idea why God had me there, but now, I understand completely. It's where I needed to be for Davvin & Hayden. (We all know that I could never have made it through this situation without my faith & all of you.)And above all, I need to be there for me. I love the people. I'm able to "release" especially through praise & worship. However, Mother's Day is not my best holiday these days. Lisa, 29 years ago, on Mother's Day, I was in labor with Hayden's dad. Sometimes, it's hard to be raising his child, when I miss my own so much. A first son is mom's forever, closest to her heart always. You will know this love forever.

Judy, I will be praying for you and Ryan. I am a firm believer that God always has everything in His hands and Hayden's dad is there. I have come to the conclusion with Amber which is Barry's daughter that we are praying for to come to know the Lord. That the reason she does not want to be around us is that she feels the convinction and she does not want to deal with it. My mom always told me God will always hear and honor the prayers of a mother for her children. Love ya & I am praying for you!

Thank you, Lisa. Prayer has held me strong through the last two years. Prayer saved Hayden's life. Without my faith, I could do nothing. I just miss Ryan so much though. He & I were never just mom & son. AndLisa, he is the one who brought me back to Jesus. He knew & will know again.
Sometimes, it's very hard being the oldest mommy in the world!! All other mommies are young & relate to one another. It's not been easy having few to talk to, or to give me hugs when I've needed tham. I thank those who have tried, especially at Life Source.
