Hi all new moms!
Jen, Bethany and Shanta. Even having lived here for as long as we have (my husband went through school here and we moved back the year after he graduated from pharmacy school at UF in '97), we still have few friends who are local. It is difficult I think especially if it's a mother who isn't working and getting to meet other people through work or a family with many children who has much to do following work. I can relate to feeling like I am going it alone. I also homeschool, so I am with ours 24/7 (no sitters or family help) and while I am not complaining, wouldn't change a thing, and realize our choices, I'd like to be able to pick up the phone and call a local friend to chat once in a while or meet up last minute someplace. So, my hope and prayer is that Polk Moms will bring me to some special women who can join me on this path of motherhood with all its glory, love, and woes! lol  Michelle Michelle "The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my victory."
