Hi,Im Darlene mother of 5 and two grandbabies,we are moving to lakeland from pa.I was just wondering is there better parts of lakeland than others for my children.

I prefer South lakeland. the new booming area is down 540A/ cruise lake Road. If you tell me what you are looking at then I can give you lots of info on the better schools and such. Good luck with your move.

I have lived on the northside, in the Lake Gibson area as well as the Kathleen area. I would recommend the Lake Gibson area myself.

I live in Bartow, not to far from Lakeland. I do enjoy Lakeland a lot. I have some friends that live around the downtown areas - around Florida Southern College area.  Like any town there are good parts and not so good parts. I was born and raised in the E. Lakeland area and still here. It's been fine for the most part. I always liked S. Lakeland too.
