Hello everyone. My name is Cindy and I have one daughter, who will be 3 in June, named Vegas. I have been with my husband for 19 years, married 6 of those, and both of us work outside the home. My daughter attends pre-school and I am working full time and taking classes to complete my Elementary Education degree. I'm almost 38 and most of my friends have children much older than my daughter or no children, so it's nice to have found this site!

Well, I was a corporate trainer for Lockheed Martin for years, then decided it was time for a family. I stayed home with Vegas for her first year. I now am lucky enough to work at Florida Southern College (on my lunch now) and attending college here as well. My mother always told me I should be a teacher and in my early twenties I just wasn't patient enough to work with children. Now, I can't think of anything better to do and my daughter is benefiting from all that I learn.

I will definitely visit the preschool conversation.

I'm going to share this group with my only other friend with a little one.

Hi Cindy! You sound like a busy momma. I do plan for PolkMoms to have get togethers so moms with all ages of children can come and play. I want to do this during the week for moms that stay at home or able to work that into their schedule. I also would like to plan get togethers on weekends for those moms that need that convenience, especially working moms.
