I wanted to post just in case some of you haven't seen this and could be the owner of one of these toys. This recalled toy has "excessive lead amounts" in the paint.

This entire lead paint thing is making me nuts. Several months ago, I had to pull a lot of Ryan's Thomas the Tank Engine toys -over half!

Has any of you been affected by lead paint in your children's toys?

Recalled toy at link below, check to make sure you don’t have it…

Found some other lead paint recalls that could be dangerous to our older children.

My Lillian puts so many things in her mouth, But as a parent to older children I didn't think I would have to worry about them putting lead paint objects in their mouth; I was wrong.

Some fake play teeth are being recalled as well as pens,(how many times have you seen your child hold a pen in their mouth?),and key chains that your older child could be carrying around. Check out the recalls at this U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commision link.

The lead paint issue hasn't really been a problem for us. However, my youngest daughter received a gift this year for Christmas. While my oldest was opening the package, she exclaimed "wow, it even came with a big pair of scissors!" I looked over at what she was talking about, and in the bottom of the box was a huge pair of chicken shears!! I called the company and they were just as shocked as we were! It seems that they use these type of scissors to cut the wire twist things down to size. It came from where else....China! I am just thankful that my youngest didn't open the package!! My 13 yr old knows better than to cut her hair! LOL!
