NO ONE HAS TOUCHED ON THIS SUBJECT YET. AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY THERE ARE A FEW I WOULD NOT USE, BUT, EVERY PERSON IS DIFFERENT. WHAT I WOULD SUGGEST THOUGH IS IF A DOCTOR MAKES YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE ABOUT ASKING THE "SILLY" QUESTIONS THAT MOST OF US MOMS DO, RUN! IF THEY BLOW OFF YOUR CONCERNS, RUN! OR IF THEY JUST GIVE YOU A BAD VIBE, RUN!. GO WITH YOUR MOMMY INSTICT. I HAVE TO SAY, MOST OF THE TIME, MOMMIES RIGHT. (IF MY MOTHER ONLY HEARD ME SAY THAT!)

I would NEVER use Dr. Steven Granger at Clark and Daughtrey.

I wouldn't use any of the ones who force you to vaccinate or else they will kick you out of their practice and/or ATTEMPT turn you into the state for your sacred decision. Don't allow these thugs to bully you. It's not against the law to NOT vaccinate, yet these conglomerates-of-pediatricians treat those who have VERY good reason to abstain from vaccination as lepers. If you are a local mom searching for a non-bullying pediatrician, I highly suggest: Dr. Robinson Family Clinic 4406 S. Florida Avenue Suite 30 Lakeland, FL 33813-2175 CALL: 863-646-5088 Beware, they don't take welfare. The main reason being, I'm sure, is so the state can't bully them into forcing patients to vaccinate. If you are the type of parent who believes in breast-feeding, eating healthy and not vaccinating, you're going to have minimal trips to the pediatrician anyhow. I've almost forgotten what Dr. Robinson looks like, and there are ZERO meds in our house - for us OR the kids. |

How do you handle schools who require the vaccination forms? I always thought they required it or do they except the parents choice?

I have read so much here about not vaccinating your kids, and I have said before that I respect this difficult decision - but I just hope that any new parents reading this are informing themselves with all the facts. At the end of the day - there are some very, very serious diseases that vaccinations protect our children from - deciding not to vaccinate is not something that should be done automatically.

-------------------------------------------------- Hmmmmmmmm, alright - Why weren't you all told about the LEGAL exemptions from vaccinations upon your child entering public school? Why wasn't this discussion about vaccinations allowed in science, biology, health or history class? We were all told just ONE side of the story - AND BELIEVE IT, OR ELSE !! Am I REALLY just "throwing my weight around" by informing parents of the options regarding the way you treat your child's delicate health? |

FLORIDA - IMMUNIZATION EXEMPTIONS (includes current statutes, letters & forms) and Exemption Forms and Information for other states, etc |

----------------------------------------------- The vaccine didn't eradicate polio. Polio was eradicated by modern-day sanitation, cleaner water, availability of food. The issue was cleanliness/nutrition and had NOTHING to do with the vaccination. In fact, polio was already completely gone or under control by the time the vaccine was introduced. From the following link: What part did vaccines play in the eradication of Polio?
2. The largest epidemic occured about 1950 and had significantly declined by 1955 when vaccine was first introduced. 3. Disease can not be 'conquered' without addressing the disease cause. 4. Disease is not caused by a lack of "cow-pus", rotting material or carcinogenic poisons in the bloodstream. 5. Polio causes included: *pre-polio vaccines *nutritional imbalances *environmental poisons most notably pesticides 6. Creation of and introduction of the Salk vaccine was motivated by fear that, without the vaccine, contributions to 'polio research' charities would drop. Test results on the Salk vaccine were biased by throwing out polio cases 'after the first vaccination'. Test results were also biased by including only data from the '11 most accurate states' while ignoring the data from the other 33 states included in the test. I wonder what the '33 least accurate state' data would have shown? 7. Introduction of the Salk vaccine was beset first with known deaths related to the vaccine and then by a rise in polio cases. 8. Truth of the vaccine's true detriment was withheld from the public. Several states had rises in polio rate following vaccine introduction. 9. In the 3 years following the introduction of the vaccine: *The definition of epidemic was changed from 20 cases to 35 cases [per 100,000]! *The definition of polio was changed from paralisis occuring for 24 hours or more to paralisis occuring for 2 months! *The remaining polio cases were then diagnosed as meningitis! Thus the factor(s) which caused the 1950 and onward decline was in no way contributed to by vaccine. The vaccine was a cause of disease, not a preventive of disease! "Jonas Salk, inventor of the IPV, testified before a Senate subcommittee that nearly all polio outbreaks since 1961 were caused by the oral polio vaccine." "Official data shows that large scale vaccination has failed to obtain any significant improvement of the diseases against which they were supposed to provide protection" - Dr. Sabin, developer of Polio vaccine. "Many here voice a silent view that the Salk and Sabin Polio Vaccines, being made from monkey kidney tissue, has been directly responsible for the major increase in leukaemia in this country." - Dr F. Klenner, M.D. "Provocation polio. That is the truth about those outbreaks of polio. And I offer a well considered personal opinion that polio is a man made disease." -Viera Scheibner, Ph.D. "Poliomyelitis trends in Pondicherry, south India, 1989-91" (Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health [London], vol. 51, no. 4, August 1997, pages 443-48): About 54 percent of children lamed as a result of poliomyelitis had received three doses of oral polio vaccine before the onset of paralysis. Also, this is must-viewing by Doctor Sherri Tenpenny regarding polio. Watch as she calmly and scholarly rips apart the myth: Dr. Sherri Tenpenny on Polio - 1 of 4 Dr. Sherri Tenpenny on Polio - 2 of 4 Dr. Sherri Tenpenny on Polio - 3 of 4 Dr. Sherri Tenpenny on Polio - 4 of 4 |

It definately is a matter of choice but being informed is knowledge and this knowledge will help a person make a decision easier.
For example I really did not look into circumcision vs. not doing it and just did it because my husband is and he wanted it done for my two sons. The only debate I have ever heard on it is that it makes the penis harder to clean because the skin has to be pulled back. Well for my situation my first son's procedure did not remove enough so he has to pull back the skin anyway so go figure. I know I could have taken him back again but by the time we figured it out he was a little over 1 and I did not want to put him through that at least I knew at birth he would not remember the pain. I do wish I had been a little more informed on this. |
