While looking at the esquire article about Halle Berry I stumbled across this Drink Database. I felt the need to explain why I was reading a men's magazine online

Anyway, I do think this information could be useful to those of us that would like to entertain with alcohol.

It has happened that I have been asked to make a certain drink before and not only never heard of it, but had no idea what was in it

I'm just not drink savvy, but with this information, maybe I can get there? Don't test me though, lol

Does anyone have a favorite drink or recipes to share?

Several months ago I tried the Parrot Bay Pineapple Colada, I liked it a lot. What I didn't like was the price, so I made my own version.

Glass full of ice (20oz glass)
2-3 shot glasses of coconut rum
Fill with *Wal-Mart's Pineapple soda (only $.67)
Stir and enjoy

*I only use Wal-Mart's Pineapple soda because I can't find another one that I like and it's cheap.

a couple years ago my sister gave me the idiots guide to making mixed drinks. it's a very helpful book.

I very rarely drink (and like Courtney, not at all since I'm pregnant right now), BUT when I do I am an Amaretto Sour kind of girl!

That is some GOOD stuff in my opinion! Although I have to admit since I had my first baby 2 1/2 years ago my max is usually one drink

I haven't done any serious drinking in a good 17 years - once I turned 21 I went out dancing all over Lakeland - many of the clubs now gone

Anyway - I enjoyed Midori Sours and I have had an Apple-Tini a couple times in the past 2 years. Although - I just ran a search for the Midori Sour and it wasn't anything like I remember - but it's been 17 years afterall.

What I recall is orange juice, grenadine, and vodka - I think. Simple and fruity!
