Hi...Since we are all mom's...I would love to be able to tell you about some of the dangerous products that you unknowingly are cleaning your house and clothes with. If you want some information about some safe products to use in your home that doesn't contain pesticides like most of today's products...get back in touch with me. My children are healthier today because of it. We had so many illnesses...one after another...and now, barely a sniffle. I love it! I have 4 children and have been throught quite a bit with them. Let me know if you are curious.

I would love to know of any safer products. Right now I am using Fabuloso on the floors, Green works in the kitchen and bathroom although sometimes I have to use a mold and mildew cleaner - Do you know of any that are safe? Also have granite countertops and would love a safe alternative for them? Any suggestions please let me know?
Thanks |

You would be amazed at then number of things that can be cleaned with baking soda and vinegar. I use different combinations all the time to clean our house without harmful chemicals!

I have heard of some vinegar uses and read the site about baking soda use and am going to try. Do you know of a good mixture that would work on mold and mildew in showers? Also, if any of this would help with granite?
I wanted to avoid buying a book on baking soda and vinegar use but it may be worth it. What do you think? |

Nancy, for my granite countertops I use the antibacterial Windex (yellow) it cleans and shines. Although it may not be super safe for my kids to play with, it is killing the germs my kids would be in contact with from contamination of other sources, like raw chicken, etc. That is important to me for sure!
SC Johnson makes Windex and has earned several environmental friendly awards. I do feel good about buying from a company that is environmentally friendly. Here in an article here about it http://www.scjohnson.com/family/fam_pre_pre_news.asp?art_id=152&show=2004 ~Mother to Brandon, Austin, Ethan, Ryan and Lillian~ |

Awesome, So it does not leave any streaks or is absorbed by the granite. Our granite is sealed but no granite can be completely sealed and I just notice marks sometimes.
I trust Windex, have used it all my life just did not know it had something for Granite, I will look for it. I love SC Johnson - I really do feel there main concerns is the welfare of others, they really do make the best products. Thanks again your very helpful |

I use this formula to clean counter tops (not granite)around the house.
3 tbsp. white distilled vinegar 1 tsp rubbing alcohol 2/3 cups water Distilled white vinegar will take off soap scum in the bathtub. Furniture polish: 3 parts olive oil 1 part lemon oil If you don't have lemon oil use 1 tsp. olive oil and 1 cup white vinegar. I clean glass with white vinegar on a cotton cloth. |
