I just saw a flyer where Progress Energy is giving away free, powerline-friendly trees.
There are several "Know Where You Grow" tree giveaway sites, but the only one for Polk County is in Lake Wales. If anyone is interested, you can pick one up (limit one per household) at Polk Avenue Elementary School at 110 E. Polk Avenue for 7 to 11 a.m. |

Rella123, thank you for that information, I feel bad that I didn't know about it. My husband works for Progress Energy in Lake Wales
