Are there any moms out there sending their children to public school or preschool for the first time? School starts back on Monday, August 18th. Are you all ready? Do you wish the summer would never end or are you ready to pack the kids to school?
Ryan is going to a Pre-K4 program. He's a first timer! I am so worried about him. I want him to love school so much.

My G-man is going to a new school this year. He is in the 3rd grade so he is used to school but a new school and uniforms is stressing him out. I pray for a smooth transistion. We meet his teacher Thursday night and I pray she is what he needs...

My son went to ESE pre-k when he turned three. It is as long as a regular school day, so it was a little hard at first. I don't have any friends I can ask to watch my kids, or relatives in the area, and my husband is often out of town, so I got used to it pretty quick...having my alone time! Plus, he was finally learning how to talk from the other kids! He transitioned to typical pre-k at last year. He is now in VPK for the summer. Even though he has been in pre-k for so long, he still has an IEP and some developmental delays, so I am VERY worried about kindergarten. Especially since he got accepted to a competitive school. I have even started getting palpitations lately, and I think it's because of kindergarten! I can't believe how fast my baby is growing up! I had an EKG and wore a monitor for 24 hrs, but they didn't find anything...just stress I guess! So you are not alone!
my middle son will start kindergation he goes to daycare but this will be new to him the good thing is his sister will be there she is going in to 3rd grade

I wanted to let you all know we got a great deal on some back to school shoes at Hibbett sports in Bartow. They had a bunch of clearance shoes and they are buy one get one half off! I got some shoes that were regularly $70 for Ethan that were marked down to 29.99 and then got Austin's pair that was marked way down for half off. Austin's shoes ended up being $12.99.
I don't know if any other Hibbetts stores are having this deal. It could be worth checking out if any of you still need back to school shoes.

UPDATE.....We have been sent an angel for a teacher!! God truly answered our prayers. She is going to be wonderful for my little man. I believe she is exactly what he needs. Loving but firm!! I have to say, I really am impressed with his school. I was stressing REALLY bad but the first day went well and he got off the bus unscathed!! Mama was more of a basket case than he was!
And then to top it off, his teacher called me today to give an update and let me know how she does things and what the year would be like. Never had that happen...LOVE HER!!
OK, I know it has only been one day but I really have a good feeling....I need the good feeling.....mama stresses!!
