Good day ladies!
I am new to posting, though I have looked through this site before.
I am trying to get my children more involved in activities, now that I have finished my degree. However, I do not know where to start. I have a 7 year old daughter who is not girly at all. She loves being outdoors. She will play tennis with her dad and wants us to always throw her the softball to practice her swing. I don't know what sports are out there in the fall...except football and I am not sure she is cut out for that! :-)
Does anyone know of some fall sports or have any idea who I can contact to get information about city leagues?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Talk to you all soon!

blestmomof2, thanks for joining us!

It really depends on what town you live in to tell you what programs are where.

We have done baseball with my older boys a couple of times, but every year with out fail, we do soccer. We are a big soccer family. My husband even coaches!

I have tried to call various organizations and asked them to forward information to me in emails, phone calls, etc or post themeselves on the site. I have yet to get someone to do this.

I understand a lot of youth sports organizations and leagues are volunteer based which can mean different people in different years.

If you call your communtiy parks and rec department (should be in phone book) they should be able to give you a schedule. If you would like, email me your town and I can make a few calls for your area.

Any moms that know of fall sport sign ups, please post a thread about it.

Here is the website for soccer in the north Lakeland area. It doesn't say "For Boys Only" so I am assuming it can be for girls too. We are new to sports in Florida so I couldn't tell you more than this. I did email them to find out that the fee for registration is $65.00....the website did not say. Not sure where "blestmomof2" is from but maybe this will help someone.
