I don't believe there is anything wrong with spanking when necessary. The Bible also says several things on that. The article made it sound like it was violent and unloving. I completely disagree. Anyway, we don't do anything special I don't think. Just love on them and praise them when they make good choices. We use a couple of things including the discipline ladder but also keep stickers and smiley markers in the car and around the house. Children like those. Even on their noses.
