On Friday we (My husband, Sebastian and myself) went on my niece Loralie's school field trip. It has been a few years since I had been to the Lowry Park Zoo so I was amazed at all the expanding they have done. I was very impressed with the zoo and the staff was great. It made for a very enjoyable day. It was a little crowded in some areas due to how many different schools that were there. I would recomend this trip even for the younger ones. Sebastian is only ten months and he loved it! They have the coolest merry go round. There was ample shade and benches for resting. We did have one situation I did not know how to deal with. There was another child there who kept taking my childs cherios out of his cup holder and eating them. The first time she did it I was like toddlers will be toddlers but she kept coming back and her mother was not stopping her. This woman was not with our school so she was a complete stranger letting her kid rumage through our stroller. I did not know what to say so we just left the area. I wanted to say something to her about watching her child more closely but wasnt sure. In the end we just threw out the rest, after all that kids germy hands were in them and laughed. Is it appropriate to get on to adults who let their children misbehave? Confused It was still a great day and we will return.

Ahh I would love to go back to Lowry, we have only been once several years ago. I love animals and my husband and I really enjoyed it.

As for the toddler that kept taking your child's cheerios without asking, I would have said something, like.. you need to ask if you can have that (while smiling.) Smiler Or, no ma'am/sir that's not polite. Smiler Would you like some cheerios? If she/he says yes or only nods, have her/him ask for some politely.
No big deal. Just try to lovingly teach the child manners even if their parent can care less.
