My boys birthdays are coming up soon. My youngest will be 6 on April 26th and my oldest will be 8 on May 9th. We usually just have a combined birthday party the weekend in between their birthdays. I have no idea what to do for them this year. Two years ago we had a pirate theme party with about 50 kids and pirates came to the party and did a treasure hunt, painted faces, magic show and gave out goodie bags. Last year I did not think I could top that so we took the easy way out and went on a Disney Cruise for their birthday.

We are new to Winter Haven so I am not sure where to rent things or any place to have a party.

If you have any suggestions please let me know. Please Help!!!!!

I'm not sure if you are into Scooby Doo, we are, we love Great Danes!

We also did a Pirate theme party before, my kids and guests loved it! We hid a treasure chest and gave all the kids the first clue to go to one area of our yard to the next. At each station they would find another clue. So for our green jeep, I said find what is green and gets you around, then at the jeep another clue would be there. Like the north east corner of the yard, which was fun because they sometimes have to get adults in on the action if they are not sure, then there, they find another clue, I had some good clues and I cant remember where I put them, some vague and some easy to get to the next place. Some you could use would be; where you ring when you first arrive, they can all run toward the doorbell. Postal service receptacle for the mail box, etc. It is so fun to watch them. Of course it is more fun to watch them back track and go back the way they came.

Anyway back to the Scooby, you can do the same for Scooby clues as an investigation of the lost loot? We did that one too for another son, because the guests requested it.

Of course you can do an easier version for younger tots with a blues clues theme and paste blue paw prints. I think I may do this for Ryan and Lillian this year?
